- It was difficult to defeat him. He was nearly immortal and damaging his head was the real deal that's the thing that took me a while to get. Also Hurricane was not able to lift Lesnar which put a limit to my moves, See the full video to find out my struggles...

This game is so much better than the latest wwe wrestling games. You can feel the impact of every move. Everything is fast pace and reversals seem way more punishing
If you cant lift your opponent in this game you're screwed
Yeah. The most weakest wrestler in this game is Rey Mysterio. He can't even lift ric flair and john cena🤡🤡. But I won WWE championship in season mode by using Rey Mysterio (2 times)
A remake of this game is much needed. More than the crap we getting now
100% man, totally, same with a few of the SVR games like 2007/08/09.
For real, been saying that for years.. The best engine, storylines, everything. Nowdays, its just silly quick time events and button prompts with sluggish gameplay and broken counter/submission systems

Goldberg, Brock, Triple H and to an extent Kurt Angle were so overpowered in this game.

Actually it's not possible because you can not add season mode cpu players to Royal Rumble
As bad as hurricane ovr may seem and just the gimmick being as goofy as it is.... imo The Hurricane had one of the best movesets in this game. He had tons of power moves and his brawling style of kicks and punches was really solid. This character is actually a solid character ngl.
This match was more entertaining than an entire episode of Raw
That clothesline from Brock hit so hard they replayed 3 different times

I just love how fast paced the action is in this game. Truly one of the best WWE games ever made.

Fun Fact: That arena is modeled after the TD Garden back when it was Fleet Center in my hometown of Boston. Doesn’t look like it nowadays with all the renovations within the past few years though. It’s the same arena you see in the 2K franchise just without any color.
Brock Lesnar is so OP in this game, defeating him with The Hurricane is kinda a tough challenge in Smackdown (very hard) difficulty.
I can even defeat him with a female wrestler with only 10 attribute points 😉

Reversing in this game is so easy , me an my lil bro still play this to this day and we have literally like 30-35 min matches and all of the damage is from reversals

I always liked to play as Torrie Wilson vs big show it was a crazy challenge. One move and your body turns yellow one more move and your body turns orange. Three moves and you can be pinned no problem. So its a great challenge

Ah yeah I remember Brock and Goldberg. You’d be grafting for ages trying to do damage and they’d do two power moves and you’d be orange almost immediately.

I beat Brock at Last Man Standing with Rey Mysterio..
Man it was hard.. i had to use steel chair in the end for a hundred times just to put this guy down on 10 counts (he always manage to get up at 8-9 counts)
And as for a fact.. finishing brock with 619 is useless.. rey will immediately pin brock and brock will get up soon.. so use a weapon is a best way.. (i almost loss too in the end.. but i was lucky rey get up at 9 counts)
Should have used Brock Lesnar's finisher instead

There's one aspect of this game that always kind of pissed me off. Is how if you're not careful you could get beat off of reversals alone that's how damaging they can be on Smackdown difficulty.
It honestly feels like a duel where the 2nd to shoot wins. literally everything you do can be punished by a reversal, yet reversals cant be punished with anything lol
i still have this one on PS2 on original CD. I also have WWE SVR 2006, and i think these are the best WWE games i ever played :D

Childhood memories
With lower overall wrestlers I usually exploit the game a bit, for example the turnbuckle bug for some reason if you go for a dive the opponent just stand there and takes it or i usually throw them against the barricade and just spam strikes to try and get some limb damage then I usually play the reversal game a bit sadly submissions are pointless on SD difficulty unless you got some good fingers lol
