I started doing this but I do it in numbers (equivalent to excel) where I also categorize all expenditure (Food, transport, utilities etc.) so I can see where I spend it so I can then see where I can save. Yes I already know where I spend it ’unwisely’ but seeing the actual sum helps to stay aware. I also write down the kg or litre cost of everything I buy (bread, fruit n veg, detergant, cleaning products etc) so that I can actually track the shrinkflation. I got receipts! Not tricking this one 😜
That's awesome! I find I like the old pen and paper method better. It just works for me. They say the plan that works is the one you can stick to, so you got this already.
🤣Thank you! She's actually my inspiration behind how I started budgeting. I remember when I was a kid, she'd take out this huge green notebook and write down what she spent that day. She is a great role model.
I like the idea of doing a daily log of expenses. I usually plan out my monthly but find I’m always trying to catch up! My goal this year is to put in the expenses right as they happen. Thanks for the video! It would be cool if you talked about how/where you do your investing !
I'm 35yo and love to use excel to categorize each and every expense. It's a hobby to me, gives me dopamine, as well as helping me grow my finances.
I feel you! I had to learn how to give myself that dopamine hit as well. Once you get it, you never go back haha.

I hope your mom is proud of you for taking control of your finances at such a young age. 😀

Thank you! I will be sure to talk about that in a future video!
