He was truly amazing and though he had a higher economy rate but was a person who always assured taking wickets.

Thank you brother for bringing this up here. He was actually a smart player with allrounder skills. Even aussies used to fear of him. He had a classical batting style along with a speedy swinging yorkers and good length balls. At that time people call Agarkar as Son in law (Damaad) of BCCI (Indian Cricket Team) because he was consistent as a player but not in the team. Everyone used to get amazed why is he being dropped again and again even after playing a good cricket. People of that time likes him very much and I still admire him as an inspirational player. He got injustice but never complained and gets available for the team at each and every phase when needed. He is still one of the finest player who can bowl and bat well with some good cricketing shots. One of the best player at number 8 & 9.
