  • Hey youtube this is my review of the first battery powered subwoofer made in canada. It has a lot more low end punch than i thought it would have especially it being battery powered and all. I was pleasantly surprised. Check out my review but just take my word for it. You guys need to hear this sub in person. Please don't forget to like and subscribe if you haven't already. Until the next one fam! Peace

    After getting the sub in..your review is spot on . Also I like how you said multiple times this is not to replace your beast subs. The exm 8 and sub give you awesome mids and the coaxed HF makes it a very non-fatiguing package to listen too. It is awesome for what it is. Acoustic gigs, ceremony, cocktail, house party. Keep in mind users not going to play the 35hz electronic tones of newer music. Only gripes wish they would have used M20 threaded mount on the sub, and charge lights are pretty bright on 8 when up on the pole but nothing gaff tape won’t fix!

    Awesome reviews. I just got the exm mobile 8 in this week. Well worth the 6-month wait blows S1 pro out of the water..volume..sound quality and bass response. I was on the fence about the sub specs didn’t seem that appealing but from my time with mobile 8 they are just accurate and not inflated like others. After your video I just ordered the sub.
    I’m really on the fence here and the faster you get in line the faster you get on the waiting list. Do you see yourself ordering another mobile 8 and running true stereo with 1 sub. Or is this just a mono 1 piece system all you see it being.
    Wasn’t sure what kind of crowd you thought 2 mobile 8s and a sub could handle. I would use setup for quick karaoke and play some fill music while they get their liquid courage. No more than 25-50ppl sometimes outside. I felt with my regular stereo setup it was always overkill and a lot of setup but if asked to crank it up I had headroom to do so.

    • @DjNinesworld
      @DjNinesworld  2 года назад +1

      I will probably be keeping it a mono piece system for now for some smaller stuff. Who knows I may add another 8 in the future. Thank you for watching and I know you’ll love the sub!🙌🏼

    Have you found any cover options for the subwoofer? Thanks for being responsive I noticed someone asked about exm 8 covers the same day I did.
    You should do a review with exm 8 vs s1 pro next.Might be hard to come by but mobile 8 and sub compared to Maui 5 go would be another good one to see

      I haven't found a cover yet for the sub. Just waiting on yorkville or maybe ill get a custom one made. I will do a review with exm 8 and the bose s1 pro in the new year.

    Really like Yorkville . Currently own the exm mobile and the exm 400. Do you think this would be a suitable replacement for the exm 400 as far as sound and volume go.

    • @DjNinesworld
      @DjNinesworld  2 года назад

      Thanks for the comment Teffy. I love yorkville products too. I haven't heard the exm 400 yet so i wouldn't be able to tell you whether it would be a suitable replacement.

    I got two Soundboks 3's and I love to take them outdoors, but I find the bass lacking when they are blasting at full volume. I've been dreaming of adding a dedicated battery-powered sub, do you think this would be a nice combo? I would have to add a SKAA receiver to make it play nicely with the BOKS-es. I am not sure if Soundboks are going to come up with one of their own(BASSBOKS?), that would be the insta-buy for me!

    • @DjNinesworld

      Hey man ya one of these would definitely round out the bottom end of your system. Maybe even try the new more powerful Yorkville EXM pro sub. Its pricey but definitely worth it. I also made a review on this on my channel. Cheers

    • @DjNinesworld
      @DjNinesworld  Год назад

      I would imagine the Evolve 50's would have much better bass. Keep in mind these are not for a full blown dance party. They are just there to supplement the bass for a smaller system

    Great idea but $670 here in States. For $400 I got a Fishman Sub300 which has 300 watts rms/600watt peak. At 100watts rms/175 watts peak EXM Sub just sounds weak to me. Fishman has a peak of 109dB. Yorkville is claiming 116dB. Come on! Must be all distortion at anywhere near peak?? Of course I have run the Fishman on an external power source which costs an extra $400. Fishman is also 30lbs. Thanks for the video.

      I appreciate your comment. But you gotta listen to the sub in person before you knock it. I hear what your saying though. Take it easy

    • @WWeiss-nv5vz
      @WWeiss-nv5vz 2 года назад +1

      @@DjNinesworld No offense. Not knocking it but since most people can't compare different subs ordered on the internet physics tells me 100watts RMS in a small enclosure with 8" woofers just won't output like a 500watt unit with a larger enclosure. Of course the internal battery by Yorkville is a first! GO Canada!

    • @DjNinesworld
      @DjNinesworld  2 года назад +1

      @@WWeiss-nv5vz I hear what your saying and it totally makes sense. Its an entry level sub with limited applications. Look out for more battery powered speakers from yorkville tho

    So I just picked up this after watching your review and looking for best price with warranty... I already have 2 Aiwa Axos-9's , Which I really love... and their hard to find for the $300 each price tag.. I play my music outside in my yard. I tote both Aiwa's around when shoveling snow.. But back to this bad boy... Do you think you can plug in one of those Alto Professional Bluetooth total 2 into the XLR port on this sub to get better range? Have you had any issues of range with this speaker on Bluetooth? It's prolly standard of 30 ft?? I was thinking of looking into some point to point wireless bridges on my property to see if I get more Bluetooth range... Hope I can get some good feedback from you.. Most descriptions on speakers don't give you the real details of actual use of the products... Thanks

      No problems with this system with bluetooth. Pretty solid but yes good for upto 30ft. Wouldn't try to push it more. Enjoy the sub!
