Tencent always undermine Liu Yu. At first they try to lower his rank and when called out for lowering Liu Yu & Riki's real ranking w/ evidences & reciept by Cfans they finally gave the 2 their real rank in the recent ranking. LOL

Liu Yu definitely is the best fit for the center, as not only are his facial expressions catered towards the song (always having a smile on his face matches the happy vibe of the song even tho the choreo is exhausting). Also the theme of the song is being a part of a team and the theme of the show is to integrate foreign talent. In both these areas Liu Yu excels in. In the LIT team he was probably the reason why they were able to blend in together. Riki was the driving force of the team while Liu Yu was the glue that bonded everything together and make it work cohesively. He accepted that he wasn’t the center and helped out Riki lead the team by translating and keeping everyone motivated. While at the same time giving his opinions without undermining Riki’s leadership. He also brings dictionaries of other languages to help with communicate with other trainees. From his relationship with Nine it shows that friendships can even cross the barriers of language which I think fits nicely with the show. I hope Liu Yu can debut and break the center curse. Jiayou!
@@게이시Its not the case that we don't credit Riki for what he did, these are 2 different problems. We can clearly see that LY helped Riki with the introduction, checked the schedule with Riki. Other members already said Liu Yu was like a mom for the group, he was like a big brother who encouraged and helped them out, and members appreciated both of them. As fans, we should do the same, praise a person doesn't mean we don't appreciate the other one.

Giving compliments to her bias is her right, she is not obliged to praise other members. He was also able to highlight everyone’s strength in the performance and not let anyone fall behind. He was the perfect leader for the team. But do you think the team could have been as harmonious if Liu Yu was like Li Jiaxiang? The support of an A class member towards a foreign trainee is more important to the team atmosphere than you can think. And what do you mean Liu Yu is distant to Riki? You’ve clearly been overlooking some things, every time Riki is struggling with Chinese he always looks towards Liu Yu. Liu Yu is always there to encourage Riki and help with the Chinese. And did you not see him help translate the learning speed, the amount of times they should practice and Riki’s instructions to the team? He was the one to handle most of the details and Riki couldn’t communicate as well with the team due a language barrier. He helped Xu Shaolan blend his voice within the song as an example. He was also the one to lift the team atmosphere after everyone got down because they knew they would have to leave the team eventually by saying let’s go eat hot pot when we all know Liu Yu is one of the most healthiest trainees and would not normally go but he remembered Riki loved hot pot so that’s why he suggested it. Do these examples of Liu Yu contributing towards the cohesion of the team not prove that he was one of the reasons the team was able to function smoothly? There is video evidences of these examples so when you say I’m assuming things and making things up please do your research beforehand. You say I’m undermining Riki - but it’s obvious my comment is biased towards Liu Yu being deserving of center and relating it towards the theme of the show. Liu Yu is smiling throughout and he seem so light & happy so I think he suit the center position of this theme song the most. His movements are all so pronounce & clean too. I gotta admit I was a little taken aback in Santa when he did a cartwheel because that wasn't part of the choreo & it also do not match the song dance at all. If I were a trainee voting I wouldn't have vote for him as center base on that despite him being the best dancer in the group. This isn't freestyle... you gotta stick to the choreo. I still love Santa & Riki a lot though. Definitely my top trainees.
I think that was a freestyle moment for the trainees to showcase their personality and/or skills. It was very skilled but stood out a bit oddly to me because he was the only one who flipped around

This is a story from after the whole ordeal has ended, but an livecast from the ex-trainees + screen shots from the clips has offered the evidence that Yu Gengyin was apparently the crowd choice with the 30 percent of votes...While I guess Liuyu performed well too, but wow the water is pretty deep here...
Here goes the rumor again? How many ex-trainees claimed to vote for YGY? Are there more than 20? Please name a few and elaborate. The clip showed random votes like 2-3 trainees claiming to vote for YGY and 4 for LY (XBY, RY, Nine, and AKZL - i am sure his traditional dance teammates and 1002 roommates voted for him too), 2 for HYT, 1 for Santa, 1 for LM... When Deng Chao was counting it showed 1 for Santa, 1 for #9 (was it YGY?), 2 (a very small 2 at the corner and a drawing of duck) for LY. We don't know which stack was for whom, and the stacks were shown before counting was done. YGY was from an agency that was bigger than LY right? What could LY's company offer that made him the theme song center? And to be honest, people knew that theme song center was not that much important when one was already in class A. Theme song center does not guarantee debut spot nor more screen time than other class A trainees, because previous years theme song centers did not debut anyway. It would not make sense for LY's company to make a deal at this stage and had nothing left to offer later. If it was foreign trainee who got the highest votes you might be tempted to think TX wanted a Chinese center for theme song so they rigged. But YGY and LY were both Chinese, so I don't see the point why TX "preferred" LY to YGY. In addition, if it was rigged there would be no need to mention 30% though, trainees would just accept whoever got the most votes, they did not necessarily care about a winner by margin. Yeah so, deep water, very.

If it was foreign trainee who got the highest votes you might be tempted to think TX wanted a Chinese center for theme song so they rigged. But YGY and LY were both Chinese, so I don't see the point why TX "preferred" LY to YGY.
In addition, if it was rigged there would be no need to mention 30% though, trainees would just accept whoever got the most votes, they did not necessarily care about a winner by margin.
