Not the 1st video I watched on this channel, which I only recently discovered, and it looks like Nelson Lopez is fantastic at explaining things so that *everyone* would understand, not skipping any scenario, not going too fast, nor too slow, which is rare coming from professionals! Also, great choice of problems., puzzles, end games and what not. Kudos and keep it coming!
4:53 here no matter which pawn you push, white still wins. There was no reason for thinking. a7 also wins because of the following lines: 1. a7 Bxa7 2. Kxa7 Kc6 (2... Kc7 or 2... Kc8 loses because the white king is able to escort the pawn after 3. b5) 3. Ka6 Kc7 4. b5 Kc8 (4... Kb8 loses because there is 5. Kb6 and depends on where the black king goes white are able to play either 6. Ka7 or 6. Kc7 and safely escort the pawn) And here after 5. Ka7 white is able to escort the pawn. The reason I wrote this is I thought that a7 was the right move after doing this calculation and after you said that b5 was correct I was kinda upset because I got all the other moves right which never happened before. Please be more accurate next time :)
@@skylardeslypere9909 I believe in response black would play kc7, threatening to go to b8, and that's a stalemate if you allow him, or it's a stalemate by repetition with the kings moving up and down if you stop him.
I believe flank pawns mean pawns not on the d- or e-file (these are center pawns), and those on a- or h-file should be called rook pawns (on the files which rooks on at the start of the game)
keep your bishop on the g1-a7 diagonal. Try to exchange it for white's b pawn getting your king close enough to stop the other pawn, or trap white's king on the A file blocking his pawn, or snap off the a pawn if you can get your king in front of the b pawn and not let white get his king 2 squares in front of the b pawn. If white can get his king 2 squares in front of a non rook pawn with no pieces on the board the game is always a win for white.
I never thought I’d get every single line right in one of these videos and then EVEN THE A7 AND B6 WORK!!! Even as a 2700 in puzzles I’m Proud of that 😁
Whoa, I just typed the word “the” into search to see how to spell the Eiffel Tower and the first result I got was the Eiffel Tower. How many of y’all think that is weird? If you don’t know what I’m talking about watch the first two seconds of this video.
Why would you jump to a conclusion like that? It is much more likely that hes busy with medical appointments, or simply just needed a break from youtube. Its understandable, being in such a stressful situation.

Continue with your good work. Love your videos!
How is your leg doing I’ll be praying for you
Prayers for the homie
Great moves Nelson. Please keep them coming!!
A rare problem where I knew the right move in each position. Must have been one of the easiest problems Nelson has presented 🙂
shhhhhhhsh if he hears you he will post a harder problem and make us feel bad again !
I mean, it's a 5 piece endgame and 2 of those pieces are pawns so yeah, it's quite easy to calculate.
I hope you feel good❤

Hope you feel better man. Interesting puzzle!
Just to be clear, playing a7 instead of b5 also works.
I was thinking that too. It'd go something like
1. a7 Bxa7
2. Kxa7 Kc6
3. Ka6
and white has a non-flank pawn protected by the king

@@skylardeslypere9909 No it's
a7 Bxa7
Kxa7 Kc7*
b5 Kc8
b6 Kd7
b7 Kd6
b8=Q
@@beatlesetchansonplusIt's b pawn, if King goes to b8 and our king is on b6 and pawn on b5 is always winning for us no matter who moves.
@@goldyarora1977no when white king is on a7 kc7 does not threat to play kb8 cuz our king controls that
Interesting puzzle! Looks like you might have the year of the puzzle upside down
Haha 😅 well played
@@ChessVibesOfficialbrilliant move !!
4:51 a7 move also wins!
Great puzzle. Not too difficult, still made you think. More "easy" ones please.
The moment I saw this, I immediately thought a5, but not for the purpose of black, but I did see through this puzzle and passed it.
I guessed it right this time. I this puzzle is easier than Ur other puzzles.
Cool puzzle ❤
5:06 b6 also wins for Team White)
Could you please continue the Fisherman series? Also you stopped doing Martin challenges.

they are. rook pawn, knight pawn, bishop pawn and so on. weird that a NM calls rook pawn a flank pawn.
4:50 why b5? cant you just push a7 right away and bishop has to take and if you take back, black is too late to go for the b pawn anyways?
Thanks for your nice videos. Waiting for Bobby Fisherman's story
a5? Because the B pawn is the sheild
Hope you're doing better!
White wins regardless of which pawn he moves at 5:06.
I saw the first move just from the thumbnail, so I was well pleased and I thought I'd cracked it. Then I got every other move wrong 😂
Hey, it’s a puzzle I can fully calculate.
What would you do if you was Black in this game? What is the best way to lure white to make a blunder and you get a draw?
keep your bishop on the g1-a7 diagonal.
Black to move 1st, I'd play Ba5. When white advances his pawn, take it. When the White King takes the Bishop, then Black King runs to the corner.
Man i started watching you a week ago And i already climbed from 1500 to 1600
Got them all right. Was this a 1500's puzzle.
Hi, when/are you going to release another course? 1500-1800~?

I was literally able to find every correct move‼
the first puzzle on chess vibes that i sloved without cheating

a5... I haven't seen the video yet.
Great puzzle. I hope your health is getting better, Nelson? Take care for now.
Even I got this one. Quite easy.
Alexsanek78 the guy who ragestalled you last stream got his account closed. I guess we all shared the idea of reporting him for it lol
