It feels like a rehash of FIFA 21 and FIFA 22, whereby the defending is almost non-existent because the defenders just stand there and let the attackers go through on goal. You can tweak your tactics until the sun goes down and it still won't make a difference.
And very very very bad reactions and keepers dropping the ball
so practically is it "easier" to score on fc25 or 24?
@@terryace6859 easier on 24 , the player movements on 25 is terrible and the defense locks them down a lot especially if you play on legendary or ultimate
The AI is really bad. Holding midfielders don't track back. Defenders don't mark. I just hope an update can fix all that crap.

It's definitely the same game. FC 25 is nothing pioneering, nothing special. It's just got a facelift for everything. Still the same. The social media aspect in Be a Player is poor-you have no interactions with anyone. Your agent just sends you messages to read, but there’s no dialogue for you to ask questions or get him to actually work for you. It’s pointless. I’m on a team where everyone has stories to tell, but I can’t even talk to my teammates or create a dynamic duo on the pitch with certain players. Be a Player is so boring because there's nothing to do other than play matches and tap buttons.
Why aren’t there any rivals? Why aren’t there any disgruntled players? There are so many missed opportunities to create dynamic duos-maybe a teammate could set you up for a goal, or you have to earn someone's respect on the field. And why can't the coach ask you to fulfill objectives that influence team dynamics beyond just the usual in-game goals? Your agent could suggest things for you to accomplish as well, and your performance could have both positive and negative effects depending on how well you do. If you're playing well, maybe you get more influence on the team, like suggesting yourself as the free-kick taker or even proposing new players to join the squad. The customization is probably the most diabolical part, especially since they made a point to say you can fully design your character. But you're still stuck using the same redundant templates. The skin tones for Black and ethnic players are still awful, and the hairstyles for Black characters are terrible. Don’t even get me started on the tattoos-who signed off on these? They look like fabric sleeves, not actual tattoos. A tattoo design isn’t hard to update in a game, so why are these so disgustingly horrible?

In Career Mode, especially for managers, there are so many missed opportunities to add depth. Why is it that the only way to have a lifestyle outside of the game is to buy pointless things on a tab, but not to experience a rich, dynamic career as a manager? You’re restricted to playing matches, buying and selling players, and trying to keep things balanced. Football has way more going on than just those limited options. The same functions available in Be a Player mode should also carry over into Career Mode, but from the manager’s perspective. You should be able to communicate with your team outside of just renewing their contracts or replying to the messages they send. For example, if a player is unhappy, there should be multiple ways to address the situation. You should be able to talk to them, offer more playing time, or even let them transfer if needed. Let there be a fan mechanic that reflects how your treatment of players impacts fan reactions. This could lead to positive or negative effects depending on how the fans perceive your decisions.
Take real-world examples like Arsenal fans with Bukayo Saka, or fans of Cristiano Ronaldo. Saka is loved by Arsenal supporters, and the nation sees his potential even more than those outside of the club. But as a manager, you might feel you can bring in someone better, and this could upset the fanbase. You should have to deal with the consequences of your decisions-whether it's sticking with a fan favorite or making a bold change that fans might not support. Career Mode needs to be more than just managing transfers and playing games. It should reflect the reality of football, where interactions with players, fans, and even the media have real consequences.
I understand what they’ve said-sometimes fans don’t know exactly what they’re asking for, so it’s hard for the developers to pinpoint what changes should be made. I get that a lot of the functionality is already in the game and just needs to be unlocked or tweaked. But, to be honest, it’s becoming repetitive and boring. It’s the same recycled content over and over again.
Career Mode, for example, should be far more developed. I’m not expecting it to be as in-depth as Football Manager, but it feels like we’re getting a game made for children, with surface-level gameplay, modes, and features. It lacks the depth and complexity that could make it truly engaging for all players. And if you notice, I haven’t even touched on the gameplay itself, because I don’t think there’s much wrong with how it plays on the pitch. Sure, there are some annoying things like poor player movements at times, but outside of that, it’s everything surrounding the gameplay that’s subpar. The worst part is that if these deeper features were available in Ultimate Team, I might actually be inclined to play it. But it’s the same superficial nonsense across the board, and that needs to be sorted out ASAP. There’s so much potential being wasted, and it’s frustrating to see the game remain stuck on the same basic level.

Career mode in a honestly better with simulation setting as it makes the gameplay way more playable than last year. Understanding player roles really help the matches as the players do what you set them to do. The social media part is boring as it repeats a lot and menu sucks but it’s an overall better experience than last years game
I 💯 agree..he’s wrong about the tactics and player roles. Based on the roles u give them, they perform accordingly. After a little research and tweaks, I’ve finally found the perfect combination of roles to make my players make forward runs and not just standing around and also not leave myself vulnerable defensively. I think there’s a lot of thoughts you have to put in this year.
Tbh career mode is much more better this year and I haven’t played career mode since FIFA 21 as it was the same bs every year. I really am enjoying it. I used simulation as a baseline nd tweak few settings, it turned out great for me. The games are competitive and score lines are much realistic. I only play career mode and pro clubs with kickoff games with friends once in a while. For me, FC25 is not bad, it’s progress in the right direction. Hopefully they build on this both gameplay wise and career mode.
What about youth academy? Are players developing alright with the dynamic potential etc? Could I do a save with ya only and turn them into world class players?
Playing simulation will affect your skill level online
@@Dailydoseofdopameme the youth academy is better with rush added to it but a full 11 v 11 with the sim option would be better as the tournaments do get repetitive and boring being that it starts immediately after a previous one. Only issue is keepers are bugged out to start at 10 diving which makes it impossible to bring up good youth keepers.
@@Dailydoseofdopameme Yes..when I started my save, I had really good players in the academy already but one stood out that was a 14 yrs old cdm with a 91-94 potential. He was 5’4 at 14 with a 50 overall but now 6’4 at 16 with a 70 overall with a potential to be special status. I had to promote him to the first team as I didn’t want him to be taller than 6’4.- they do grow in height nd weight but haven’t notice any change in their appearance as of yet but I’m only in the 3rd of my save. I believe they stop growing once u promote them to the senior squad. It seems like they gave me my version of yamal lol also I found a Brazilian winger with a special potential and he’s been on loan and he’s 17 with a 75 overall and I hope nd believe he’ll be at least 78-80 by 18.
I found other gems with “potential to be special.” One of them I didn’t send out on loan nd kept in the squad playing few games but by the next season he went from potential to be special to showing great potential. Another I sent on loan and when he returned, he was a showing great potential as I believe he wasn’t playing much which sucks coz I was hoping he’d develop nice but that’s something to also keep in mind. They need games and at least an average form to keep their potential.And I’ve had it the other way around too but not with academy players. For example, Garnacho started with the an exciting prospect status but after a great few months, his status changed to potential to be special and he’s a 91 overall rn, so the dynamic potential does work. If they have a great season or on good form, they develop amazingly well but with a continuous poor form, they decline. I will say though that finding academy players with potential of 91-94 is difficult now. For me, I only look for and promote academy players with a minimum of 88 potential. They’ll start out with a high potential but slowly decline which I’m fine with as it makes it fun that it’s not too easy as before to get 94 rated academy players.
Players actually stick to their positions. That's a big plus for me. Finally my striker and wingers are up top for a counter attack. Always used to have my striker coming way to far back.
Sorry to say this, but gameplay in FUT was always different from Offline/Career modes. It was very apparent in FIFA 23, EA FC 24 made it even more noticeable.
Go to FUT and gameplay is speedy, responsive, etc. Go to Offline game modes and gameplay feels laggy, disconnected, like playing in mud.
This year it's the same, but at least now they are not hiding it. ;)
Bro honestly am I the only person that is struggling with my defenders not dropping back and covering the opponent players???? They leave too many gaps open, they are not covering the opposite players and whatever tactics I do they dont hold their position???? Wtf is this defending honestly

I hope in the future they add beach football and futsal. It would be even cooler if they added the official professional players that play those sports. As someone who played futsal in High School, it was so dope when I was in Portugal in March I watched Benfica & Sporting play a Futsal cup final on the TV there.
Am I the only one or does sprinting feels like jogging absolutely no difference but let the AI get control of the ball all of a sudden they can sprint. EA is a joke
Am I the only one experiencing “auto substitution” glitch in manager career mode? That thing is messing up with my matches🤦🏻♂️
And do not use either modes use custom settings made by people like lambzy that's the one I use
It's worse than ever. In formation you cant have freedom to move players in different positions. You must be stuck with their formation. When you want to make your own tactics your tactics will be custom and your coaches will become experts to accomplish. And about defending it’s so bad. In the game there are so many glitches.
Good things are the player role and youth academy.
I'm enjoying the game and think overall it's definitely better than last year, I am finding the simulation gameplay to be more realistic but also a lot harder to score goals because my players don't make runs off the ball in behind, being able to play games with my youth players on career mode is a welcome addition but I really wish it was 11 v 11 matches as its annoying that if I have a youth academy of 10+ players that I can only play 5 of them at a time and only every three months as well
And player roles do matter
I think defending has improved in terms of tackles and pressure, but closing down is still the same bs.
defence still don´t care to defend really even in Simulation Mode. flanks that aren´t really flanks. gameplay still sucks. glad I only tested with EA Play
I might be a noob but defence is hard in world class😭 the best i can do Against the top 5 in careed mode is to draw
the rush stadium is just the generic waldstadion with a few extra seats, so its not really a 'new stadium'

There is no full pre-match intros in career mode i have a ps5 i have tried always and Opt- In its in classic match.

Played FIFA since FIFA 11, always been a above average player with a non-meta style. Just real football adaptable to every new game. But this year, it’s absolutely unplayable.
Slow, laggy, glitching, rebounds, speed boosts, interceptions. The last few games have been a steady decline but this is the first fifa/fc that isn’t even football anymore..
Maybe the time has finally arrived to say goodbye to a franchise that’s been a part of my life for so many years😢

I have been playing FIFA games since FIFA 96.
I can see how those game regressed over years, with some years creating the best FIFA games (FIFA 11 PC, FIFA 14, FIFA 17).
EA FC 25 is bug ridden. Freezing menus, game breaking glitches like players breaking during throw ins, disconnections in middle of Rush/Rivals because servers are overloaded, Career Mode breaking bugs are still here from last year, etc.
Enjoy it. I don't have to. I expect better from company who wishes you pay them 99E for a game. Gameplay wise it's similar to EA FC 24 so much that NickRTFM called it copy-paste job.
Gameplay is most tiring thing. They made AI overly aggressive with slide tackles and it's now easy to take advantage of it.
I just expect better. It's nothing personal.

@josefelfinito6925 In my experience with fifa games the updates make it worse. They fix one thing and make other things worse. I'm glad I opted out this time. I love playing sports games but enough is enough with this fifa thing.

No one cares about offline modes
Id say thats an honest review, but i disagree some. On world class or higher, and simulation, your not running around cb/rb like u could last year. You have to actually lob balls in, create runs, and thats just to get a decent look. The actual gameplay is mich more realistic. But i say for thw casual, your review is on point. No red card glitches though in career mode. Plus 😂
