One of the most beautiful versions of Hymn to Liberty I ever heard! It is very nice to see Italian musitians playing and singing Croatian music on very accurate Croatian!
Fair liberty, beloved liberty, liberty sweetly avowed, thou are the treasured gift that God to us endowed, all our glory is thy true creation, to our Home thou are all the decoration, no silver nor gold, not life itself could replace the reward of thy pure and sublime grace.
O lijepa, o draga, o slatka slobodo.
Actually, the subtitles are in Greek, but the whole pastorale is Croatian, composed by Jakov Gotovac, and the lyrics were written by Ivan Gundulic in 1600s.
@@bjeritamo9360 Agreed. You really can't tell whether people are Croatian or Serbian just by looking at their names. Or not their family names, anyway., and as a third-generation Croatian-American, I kind of like it that way. The Serbs are a little bit more likely than the Croats to give their sons "strong" sounding names, like Branko, but you can't really tell that way, either.

That ought to be Croatian national hymn. It has that something special.
Not the peasant one used.
