When this song was released I was going through some of the toughest months of my life. No job, no Hustle, no rent, no food! I was literally starving! I remember listening to this song all day everyday hungry as hell not knowing what the future held, just trying to encourage myself and keep holding onto hope that things would get better and they did! A truly powerful piece of art this, God given indeed.

I was raised in Old Luveve, Bulawayo. One of our eldest 'community brothers,' Nhlanhla, would wake up every day at 5 a.m. singing this song at the top of his voice. He was in a wheelchair and a man of little means but embraced each day as a God-given opportunity to 'Shine.' Nhlanhla and 'Shaina' are a constant point of reflection for me; no matter how tough it gets, I am created to shine. (I have written this in the past tense, but Nhlanhla is 'very much' alive).
I get to listen to this beautiful song when I was really in a bad hard situation . But it made me to keep believing on who I am and shine at the same time. Thank you dear Alexio.
