Playing perfect basic strat lower house edge to -0.5% which is still negative EV, means you lose in the long run. Try doing positive/negative bet progression instead of flat betting.

The player can’t play like the dealer because the dealer by default has act last so there are hands that they should be hitting on but never do because the player will already have busted. The house edge playing like the dealer goes through the roof.
The flaw in the video is you were basically at a 2 unit bet with plating like dealer and went to crazy bet spread of 4-20 unit spread playing basic strategy.
