Man I'm from Detroit and back in the 90's me and my rap group used to battle rap at the "Hip Hop Shop" and The "Shelter" in Detroit, and Proof used to host those battles and he was the most dynamic freestyler I had ever seen, everything he said was off the head, but that was the environment in Detroit back then, everybody was vicious with the freestyling and battle rapping, thats the reason Eminem is so deadly because the competition in Detroit was so ridiculously vicious.

I've seen Eminem talk about proofs ability to freestyle in a couple interviews. One of the things Em said was that he always had a couple one liners and ad-libs prepared, but that Proof would just come almost completely off the top. You can really see that in this freestyle. If you've listened to rap long enough, you can tell the difference between a true freestyle off the top and one that's been prepared. I wish Proof coulve stuck around long enough to develop.

I've seen Eminem talk about proofs ability to freestyle in a couple interviews. One of the things Em said was that he always had a couple one liners and ad-libs prepared, but that Proof would just come almost completely off the top. You can really see that in this freestyle. If you've listened to rap long enough, you can tell the difference between a true freestyle off the top and one that's been prepared. I wish Proof coulve stuck around long enough to develop.
