I think for too many people Christmas Day equals the end of the holiday season and it's back to the same old same old things. Quite sad.... I've been reflecting on the simple yet awesome fact that THE GOD OF THE UNIVERSE deigned to humiliate Himself to become like one of His creatures as disgusting and sinful as we are.....think about that....how amazing and merciful and loving is Our Lord.....mind blowing when you really think about this mystery.
How does our businness disrupt our capacity to be present, to love is often inconvenient. How is my recollection to the mysteries of our faith, the celebration to the nativity of Christ on Christmas morning? Advent is a time of preparation, a tune to slow day to make room for the spirit that is at work in our lives. This advent has been stressful because of the recent move, but I ask for His grace to forgive myself to help others to know God more . The saying goes do as I say not as I do because sometimes preaching to others requires we learn lead by example to love deeply. ❤
My wife is willing to work for another 5 years if needed. Are we in good shape? Will we be okay if I begin withdrawing from Social Security when I'm 41 and my wife is 40? Should we hire a financial planner to help us navigate this?
These are crucial questions for a financial planner. I met mine at a NYSE summit, and with her help, my wife and I reallocated our $1.7M portfolio between a traditional IRA and a brokerage account. Dear Father, I have lived Advent so differently this year. Reading the 33 days of Eucharistic Consecration has helped me see Jesus is waiting for me, and nothing is more important than spending time with Him.
If I was a hurt man lying on the street, I would rather be with a good Samaritan that may not necessarily go to heaven than a priest who will go to heaven.
