I really would like to hear comments by those that know organ. I’m one of those “masses” that Gert is bringing the organ. Gert sounds good to me. He places lots of emotion and history into his playing. But what do i now (from States).
Gert, first off. Congratulations on your engagement and your life together as husband and wife. I have been hoping she was the one. Second, you are so amazing. I wish I had a 10th of your talent. I love playing the organ, and do so in church on rare occasions. I shake when I play and people sing. Nerves. Thank you for sharing your talent with us. John Gee - the few times I’ve seen real organist do live performances, i can see they tend to be a special group of people. I remember my first live organ concert of at San Francisco symphony hall. The lady organist was so delighted to be playing i thought she was personally going to fly off the organ and bump her head on the ceiling. She was totally funny and joyful.
I was lucky enough to be at this concert. It was magical. To see you play live was a privilege. Look forward to seeing you again in two years. Congratulations to you and your new wife.

The video that moved me so much was when your wife was pregnant with your son and she was sitting on the organ with you and that your unborn child was hearing his Dad playing such beautiful music. Loving and knowing Classical and Baroque Music quite well, I'd say young Mr. Gert Van Hoef is continuing the great tradition of all Baroque Musicians: not only being a (great) performer but also being an amazingly good composer ! Dear Gert (and your assistant), Thank you for your beautiful play! It reminded me about my dear brother playing on the church organ of our village-church where he played (and I assisted him) during the service of our protestant church. He was 13 years old and I was 12 at that time. Now I am 64 and have no contact with him anymore. Life has not been good to him unfortunately, partly due to his undiagnosed and untreated autism. Resulting in when he was at a real low, he destroyed the little pipe-organ my parents bought him years ago. Out of frustration, anger and disappointment I suppose. So sad…… I hope you will be allright and keep enjoying your fantastic concerts so that a lot of people can hear your fantastic play! Thank you again!

I came from Northern Ireland with a friend primarily to hear Gert play live. I was not disappointed. I even got a picture standing with Gert.
I also enjoyed the smiles of pleasure on Gert's and Marjolein's faces when the audience joined in singing "Land of Hope and Glory".

hier in Berlin in Zehlendorf, in der Paulus Kirche, haben SIE 2 neue Orgeln. und gerade die Französische Barock Orgel mit den Zimbel-Sternen . . . . .
Jobst Vieten Herrlich! Ich hab grad nochmal reingehört. Ja, Zimbelsterne können so eine Orgel so richtig zum Klingen bringen.
