Coodie deserves so much props. I honestly never even heard of him till the documentary and Kanye wouldn't even exist, or at least in the way we know him, if it weren't for coodie. He dropped everything and left his whole life because he had so much faith in Kanye and I hope it paid off because he arguably deserves a great chunk of whatever Kanye's made. Shouts out to the men and women behind the scenes that really make shit happen
Kanye would definitely exist if Coodie wasn't in the pic. You saying he wouldn't is insane. He was well on his way with or without the film crew. This video wouldn't exist the way it is though if Coodie wasnt there.

This documentary makes you realize why Kanye believes in himself or some say full of himself. It really make you understand why he so outspoken after everybody dissed him because he was different. It makes you realize why Kanye goes against the grain and authentically Kanye. He took every opportunity he was given and spoke his life into existence since day 1. The documentary will change your whole perspective about this man.

I cannot wait for you to discover some of his best music. Just like the documentary gave context to The College Dropout, each Kanye album has significant context required to fully understand them. Here's a list of my favorites 808's & Heartbreak - After his mother passed away (he blamed himself for it) and his fiance allegedly cheated on him, this album was born out of pure emotion. It absolutely changed the sound of rap music, introducing emotion, vulnerability, melody, and autotune to the mainstream hip hop fans. My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy - Post-2009 VMA's where he interrupted Taylor Swift, the entire world hated him. He went on a self-imposed exile to Japan and later to Hawaii, and almost killed himself because of the hate he was getting. This album HAD to be great, or his career and life was over....(spoiler alert: this was consistently voted as the album of the decade so yes, it was great) Yeezus - A mask of bravado and narcissism hiding a broken, vulnerable, frustrated Kanye West. Fresh off the success of MBDTF, he couldn't believe he still wasn't taken seriously in fashion. This album also details how Kim saves "Yeezus" (Kanye) from spiraling in fame. The Life of Pablo - Kanye struggles to find identity now that he's gotten everything he wanted, he's made it in fashion/music and is now married with kids. He asks himself which Pablo he is. Picasso (artist)? Escobar (controversial figure/biggest mover of product or shoes)? St. Pablo (family man devoted to God)? The album is a look into his hectic mind, juxtaposing concepts from each of the 3 identities.
"Now I could let these dream killers kill my self-esteem or use my arrogance as the steam to power my dream." That's a line from "last call". Always stuck with me. Regardless of how you feel about kanye today, you can't argue with what he did to make this album happen.

For someone that almost died a couple of times and have the scars to show it , suffering from ptsd , you dont know how this song has gotten me through shit .... never give up!!
I have a newfound respect and admiration for Kanye after watching the documentary. He truly knew that he was destined for greatness , even after multiple reasons to give up and shut down, he still fought to be heard. He was born and raised from the love of his mother, who also believed in him. I understand why others will mistake that for cockiness or arrogance because they may not have had that true genuine love from a parent. But anyways when it’s all said and done, Kanye West is where Kanye West is today because he worked hard and didn’t look for handouts and is a very smart, intelligent individual. The media can try to portray him to be a crazy person with a mental disorder but after watching the documentary, I feel like, whoever got something negative to say about Kanye can go to HELL lol‼️
At the end the beat just takes you away as its fading...nostalgia, melancholy, hope, sadness, regret, joy all in one. Kanye is MAD for real. Absolute genius.

He took every opportunity he was given and spoke his life into existence since day 1. never had respect for kanye until the documentary. now i see where the “ego” comes from. its what happens when noone believes in you and you do it all yourself
I cannot wait for you to discover some of his best music. Just like the documentary gave context to The College Dropout, each Kanye album has significant context required to fully understand them. Here's a list of my favorites
808's & Heartbreak - After his mother passed away (he blamed himself for it) and his fiance allegedly cheated on him, this album was born out of pure emotion.
This album HAD to be great, or his career and life was over....(spoiler alert: this was consistently voted as the album of the decade so yes, it was great)
Yeezus - A mask of bravado and narcissism hiding a broken, vulnerable, frustrated Kanye West.
Yes, and they try to write him off as crazy, he aint crazy he may do silly stuff (we all do) but he acts the same now as he did then.
I feel like we call it ego but he knows it's self - believe..
@@GB-np4pi saw it recommended to me on nf but haven’t read the bio or nun, is it worth while?

Edit: Omg I can't believe I forgot about Jesus Walks
Every time this video appears in my RUclips recommendations, I end up watching the whole thing. I just love seeing Ye at the start of his career, all the hustle and drive he had to make a name for himself. It always gives me this huge boost of inspiration and motivation to keep pushing forward. I’m so glad I discovered Ye and his music.
The amount of faith Coodie had in this man. He made a huge impact in Kanye life

I agree.

imagine being rejected by the hottest rap label around at the time to becoming its biggest artist. Nothing stopped this man. The documentary just gives crazy meaning to this song.

Tuhafeni Nghipumbwa facts
Tuhafeni Nghipumbwa definitely

We will always be here dude. Kanye is my god
Hey Ma
Yes. So much yes
Me as well. No Doubt!
Same
Doesn’t excuse the maga BS
Don't EVER forget or discount Kanye. This is where the greatness started.

BWI to ATX-F if you still alive how are you
@@sparkksumkhyy1765 I am good bro! Hope you are as well!
This aged well ❤️
At the end the beat just takes you away as its fading...nostalgia, melancholy, hope, sadness, regret, joy all in one. Kanye is MAD for real. Absolute genius.
Fr
Oh god you are so right 😟 IT brings me back to a time that can never be again😢
It’s not a beat he stole the song
@@slappyhappy6192 he didn’t steal the song lmaoo. He sampled Through the Fire by Chaka Khan. She gave him her permission to release it

It’s the same thing. Don’t have talent for a good enough song
