In the manga this scene is shown in a full panel, Ushijima also has a monologue, "Sorry, I was too strong.". Edited: There was no monologue like that, I mistook it for another chapter in the manga 😳
i just checked the manga (its volume 21, i have the physical copy), but there's no ushijima's monologue saying "sorry, i was too strong". its just a small plain panel in the corner with no monologue. in the manga, they both nodded to each other after ushijima raised his hand a bit to apologise, just like in the anime. edit : ngl i was excited when u said there's ushijima's monologue in the manga saying that and immediately checked out the manga copy i have and was disappointed when i didnt find it lol. i think the one you're talking about probably is from later volumes, iykwim :)

While the Aoba Johsai match of season 2 is amazing this match for me is even better. Ushiwaka and Shiratorizawa are monsters and in a regular best of 3 there's now way Karasuno would have beat them.
they definitely could, with Daichi's serve receives, with Noya's insane receives, with Kageyama's setting skills, with Tsukki's blocking development, with Hinata Asahi Tanaka whose stamina don't run out fast as attackers and their unpredictability. Volleyball isn't about a team with the best individuals anyway. Karasuno are monsters too (Tendo thinks so)
That is the WORST cliffhanger in Haikyuu, I think. And I love watching others react to it. But I've always thought the same thing... I binged the series through season 3, so I could just watch ep 10 immediately, but I can imagine the people who were watching when it aired, absolutely losing it at the end of this ep.
Shiratorizawa coach has always felt inferior about his height that he wants to prove that his team of strong giants players will always be superior and better than karasuno esp to hinata.
