1/8 inch tolerance. IMHO, I think adding material is a bad idea. Better to dig down. I will be setting up a 26ft x 52in Intex which I have been engineering since last year; I will do a series of videos on it. Look forward to see how yours comes out. But 100%: MUST BE LEVEL.

Hey brother, I just found your videos and caught up to a lot of them. I was just wondering why didn’t you just leave your pool up the whole entire time. And if you’re not at that location you’re around do you think it would just be easier to clean the green water?

We ended up using horse stall mats at the bottom and just leaving the pool up all year. then again we do live in California

Just saw a video by Cosmickitten2012, they use PVC pipe to smooth the bottom of the pool!! Diameter of pool x pi = length of PVC.
