  • A destroyer, but not the Daring! One of my other favourites, the T7 American Tech Tree Fletcher.
If you understand game mechanics, particularly in relation to damage to ships, capture points and ribbons, you can really farm the base XP in a match to put yourself close to the top of the leader board.
This match was a good scrap and ^almost^ another one for the Kraken collection, but it wasn't to be! Got to love those guys that do a full salvo on a practically dead ship as it's about to burn or flood out.
A few little lessons along the way in this one, so I hope it's of help to some of the newer players. If you've got any questions, just drop them in the comments!

I actually completed them all for I think the first time the other day. I was in an Edinburgh. I got 157k damage, 3 kills, a high caliber, 14 aircraft destroyed, 3 spotted ships and a base capture. Those are the big things I can remember

That's a solid all round game!
I've got a match saved somewhere with 20 cap resets in the Edinburgh and I think there's a couple of kills in there too.
Would have been more resets if a doofus team mate hasn't sailed into it!

A very nice explanation of what we know about xp. It's really too bad they can't make the same effort to tell everyone what exactly gets you xp in the game. "It's too complicated" just means they're not competent enough to explain it in a way kids (their target audience - remember, veteran players don't exist in their world) would understand.

@@VazzVegas I got tired of asking.
      There's obviously a way it's calculated.
They obviously believe that there isn't anyone sensible enough to figure out how to do basic maths.

My Heroic effort is not registering!

Make sure that you are in the correct game mode. I believe that Heroic Effort is only applicable to Standard matches, denoted by the Red Anchor on the requirements card. If you are playing it in AI, it will not count. AI is denoted by a blue anchor.
Also, note that the XP required is the score from the team results screen, not your individual game results screen.
The XP score on the team results screen is known as Base XP. This is your score before any booster flags or other modifiers such as 'first win of the day bonus' for the ship you played are applied.
For example, your base XP score could be 2000 on the team results screen, but on your individual results screen, it may show 2200 if it was your first win of the day for that ship as you receive a 10% bonus.
If you are running an XP booster flag, the individual results screen will show a higher value again depending on the level of flag you are running, however, your Base XP on the team results screen would still be 2000.
Hope this helps. If you're on playstation, you can always ping me a message with any other questions. If you're on XBOX, I have the XBOX app on my phone TZW TONIK.

@@user-xn8bb9xx9e Was the 4k on the ship results screen that shows your damage, medals, ribbons etc?

@@user-xn8bb9xx9e See my original reply, the XP on the ship result screen with the medals and ribbons is not the Base XP score used for progressing these missions.
The score that is used is the one from the team results screen that lists all the ships from both teams.
