I started a 1860 save yesterday and I don't know, why he has chosen to put the lowest rated midfielder on, just to justify a signing. There are plenty of higher rated ones in the team with good traits.
That is what makes manager career mode fun. Having a club with limited funds which makes you use your money smarter and actually buying players that fit instead of just going for Mbappe or Haaland. You need to look at undervalued gems

1860 Munich was biggest club in Germany in 1960-70 Bekhenbauler was big fan of that club. He want to sign for them but of the big Club player slaped him for some reason. So Beckenbauer joined 2nd Division club Bayrn Munich and Made it first devision club . Later when player saw the sucess of Bayrn the joined it, like Muller and others. They won champions League 3 times in row and after that 1860 Bayrn got relegation and all there big player left
On fifa it seems like it’s a job done considering you don’t measure their history but on football manager to actually beat bayern and be the better team there you would atleast need 10 straight bundesliga and 3 champions league
