Study well, do a graduation on a different field other than media. Get a job earn.. Do a master's or a diploma in direction. Have a time frame to try out your chances like one year or 2 years etc . Don't over do your time limit. If you don't get a chance go back to your earlier job. Keep your passion alive by making short films or independent films.. It's just a profession don't take it to heart.. I work as a co director. And this is my experience trying to tell a guy what I wanted to hear when I was your age... Just concentrate on education first and be open for all kinds of professions... All the best

They might lead you to a few offers 4. Go join a Advertisement agency. You will get networking in film land too that way and you will also will be paid decent.. Before becoming a AD also know that it is a very poorly or no paid job mostly unless you crack into big circles. Secondly skills as a assistant director and directors are different. You might not become a better director because of assisting anyone. Only slight advantage maybe you might get a chance to pitch your story to a hero or producer. Make a network with technicians.
