    I upgraded from an inexpensive chromebook to this one (i5 1021, 8ram, 126gb storage) as a student. I am so so happy with it as someone who does endless essays, but I use it alongside my iPad Pro 11inch. I wouldn’t use it for intense photoshop though since the screen is so lack lustre. I do prefer the matte finish since high def screens always make my eyes hurt a lot faster.

    I recently switched to one without even trying...I was just going for a Windows device under $300 so I can afford one at 15 years of age
    Mine has:
    11th gen Core i3
    4K integrated Intel Graphics
    4GB RAM
    128GB SSD
    It's absolutely great, coming from a Samsung Chromebook that my parents bought and forced me to use for school purposes. I can run Minecraft 1.19.3 with Forge and WorldEdit (and NO OptiFine). With the exception of a VERY UNCOMMON frame stutter, it does over 100 FPS. It costs less and performs better than my dads work laptop XD
    EDIT: every Windows device I've ever owned before this beauty was randomly taken away by my mom, never to be seen again (she doesn't even know where she put it, it's been about 5 years)

    I've been testing games on it and it seems to run pretty well. It's almost as good as my old desktop PC with a GTX 970.
    But the CPU is definitely better than my PC. Definitely needs an external storage to game with it though. Also would be nice if it had an ethernet port, Wifi only.

    i need your advice. I just enrolled in college studying for a computer and information science degree. I will be studying routing, programming, operating systems, command language etc. I am looking at two laptops -- the Lenovo® IdeaPad 3i Laptop, 17.3" Screen, Intel® Core™ i3, 8GB Memory, 1TB Hard Drive, Wi-Fi 6, Windows® 10 for $379 or the Lenovo® IdeaPad 3 Laptop, 15.6" Screen, AMD Ryzen 7, 8GB Memory, 512GB Solid State Drive, Windows® 10 for $499. I would rather have the larger screen real estate but if the specs are better for the money I would take the 15.6 inch screen.

      @nerdyneighbor  3 года назад +1

      I would say get the second one, for sure. The one with the Ryzen 7. I don't know what you budget is, but if you can afford it, you could also pick up a used TV for like $50 and get a lot of screen real estate that way. I'm no coder, but to me, that would make the most sense.

I find it generally ok and there are some things that I do like, but I don't find it terribly fast and unless the brightness is 70% or so and above, it's kind of dim.
