I was there when the 2019 incident happened as well. Frightening moments. No one was hit directly by the the shell, however shrapnel & burning debris from the shell’s explosion did reach the crowd and left 11 with injuries (according to the local news & city’s official statement). It was a malfunctioning shell that exploded in it’s tube which caused the tube next to it to be laid over and then launch horizontally instead of vertically. Scary to witness as the shell was launched directly in my direction, but I was luck enough to be a safe distance away. Thoughts are with those whom were injured physically or mentally/emotionally.
It went wrong this year too, a fire started and launched a firework towards the crowd and actually hit someone.
