I am late here, but Michael Rodach shows, why i think luthier is the best profession. You try to make sense of wood and wires and then an amazing player comes along and takes your work into another dimension. Awesome.
Thanks! The Firestar is definitely going to make into my collection one day. I love offset guitars and I think this is one of the best I've seen. Everything on them looks great and each individual piece comes together to make a great instrument. Congratulations on making a terrific guitar!
Excellent way of demonstrating how tone is in your fingers more than in your gear. Each one of these players has a very different and distinctive sound which can be heard even when they're playing the exact same instrument (and yes, I know they're playing through different amps).
Thank you very much:-) I am in discussion with a japanese distributor, I guess it won't take very long until its available in Japan! I'll let you know! Best, Frank
Hi Dan, thanks a lot! The guitar's lower switches do Piezo ON/OFF, Serial/Parallel, Bass cut ON/OFF. The neck is a bolt on one, just a special, more comfortable body neck joint, by making it rounder instead of square like on Fender-type joints. And it has the Mastery bridge, for me the best solution I know of. We also distribute them. Great product! Best, Frank
Thank you very much! No, there is no distribution set up in australia yet. Up to now, they will be available in Japan and USA, or through our direct sales. Please also look at my webpage for more information.
Hi, thank you very much for your comment! We are working on it, and until then guitars are sold direct through us. We ship worldwide by Fedex. But of course a music shop or a distributor would be best. I will post some news here as soon as we have some! Best, Frank
Incredible guitar and great players. Excellent way to demo it. What are the 3 switches on the lower bout? Also, it looks like it might be neck thru, is that right? And I couldn't see the bridge. What kind is it? Are you familiar with the Mastery bridge? I have one on a 2012 Squire VM Jaguar and I'm totally sold on them. Thanks so much!
Thanks a lot! Nice guitar by the way, I have always loved "jazzmaster style" guitars, planning on building one to myself some day, I mostly building acoustics, but would be a nice adventure.
I asked again Michael Rodach, and he told me, that the beginning is a baroc or renaissance piece for classical guitar, "Aria con Variazioni" von Girolamo Frescobaldi. And then he turns into a part for the theaterpiece "Kiwi", which is still beeing played in Theater der jungen Welt, in Leipzig, Germany. This is the link: theaterderjungenweltleipzig.de/index.php?id=17&?sort=&details=339 He said, that he may take this piece on to his upcoming CD, which he still is about to produce
What a beautiful guitar! Rodach, man!! I'd never heard of him but I am going to look him up...fantastic! All are excellent players. How heavy is the guitar?

It's different from all the other guitar shapes and I love it!
@4:31 Beautiful slide work.
All great guitarists in my book. That was a cool demo of the variety this thing offers.
Awesome, love the jazz/firebird hybridness of this guitar...
8:15 is my thing. Love old-school little solos

Amazing tones. All of 'em.
Very smart way to do a demo. I wish more people would do this so that one can get a better idea of what a guitar can do.
das is mit abstand das schönste was ich jemals in einem gitarrenvideo gehört habe. Ich würd mich freuen zu wissen was das für ein musical is
Ah, Michael, Ron, and Rob, and Daniel,JC, and Kalle, you all got the soul out of it. You are all fantastic. You squeezed it out. Thank you!
Off the chain tone monster! Thank you. That's what we are looking for!
Awesome guitar + musicians there! Love the piece by Michael Rodach, really dug the version of Little Wing by Kalle Kalima. So rad!

Hi Kazour, thank you very much! On this one we used Curtis Novak JM-90 types. He makes really great JM- pickups! Highly recommended! Frank

:-) actually, there is no real title, it is part of a theater musical, in which Michael plays it.
Sound and design are great, but I would like to ask if they're available with a "regular", not reversed headstock?
Hi, thanks a lot, yes, we do offer a "regular" headstock as well! Please see our website deimelguitarworks.de for more informations!
Hi, the guitar is available now in Japan! Please check the new post in my video description!
Best, Frank
I would like to know it too.
