- This base looks small from the outside to deter raiders. It is a 2x1 core meant for solos and duos. It uses a hidden floating floor stack and a triple stairs bunker which make for very expensive raids. I use this base on my twitch stream and I don't typically get raided on full pop servers and if they do, then they give up at the bunker.

Nothing to see here folks, move along! This build is trash, please stop watching the video. Don’t tell your friends about it. Don’t attempt it. Trust me, it’s definitely not the best, strongest, cheapest, most subtle base design with amazing offline protection and efficient storage/crafting access boasting dead simple expansion and flexibility to be built on any terrain. Again, trust me… I know because I’ve been building it exclusively for weeks.

little (but important) side note: dont make the floorstack height gap too narrow or you wont be able to floorstack halfway through building your base. it´ll work when you test your floorstack with twig, but not later on, when everything is build.
i used this for 2 wipes now and the upkeep is so much better than any of your previous bases and i survived until the 4th day of wipe without anyone blowing through the bunker, i think it just scares people because it's so hard to splash all 3 stairs
I've been using your bunker for some time now (had to figure it out from your streams, step by step, xD). Very good base ! When you said to check if floor stacked fundations are blue, I encountered in some occasion where it was red and I could not figure out what I did wrong.
its just part of floorstacking. if foundations are slightly off alignment, walls/foundations can be red.
Neat little trick regards to the windows for the furnaces and lockers, you can do it from your core by looking upwards :)

Are there any other placeable items that can deny others from opening the bunker aside from the industrial lights? Also, why are the 2 halfwalls in tc room wood? One of them is adjacent to the potential flame turret which means it could possibly break if they shot an incend rocket + plus the flame turret explosion, no? Other than that, this is an absolutely stellar base, and I will be looking forward to using it myself in future wipes.
P.S. The video's resolution seems to be really low. Is there any way to reupload it in a higher resolution?

Any electrical component should work, you can check by trying to place the triangle frame. The industrial lights are just the least expensive item to craft.
The 2 half walls are wood because it’s less expensive than stone/metal upkeep. If the raiders get all the way to the wood then they probably already have your base anyway. There’s no harm in making the floating half walls into stone/metal if you’d like to.
The video is already uploaded in an uncompressed 1080p format, the pixelation has more to do with RUclips’s encoding than anything else.
@@JewerGG But there is a point when the wood is exposed while the twig is up and a flame turret is in place to close the bunker, where the turret is adjacent to the wood wall, which is why I ask. In that scenario, the base is still relatively safe, as long as the twig is broken and the wooden wall doesn't burn to 0 hp. Its slightly vulnerable to an icend rocket or if the flame turret just does that much damage naturally to a wooden wall when destroyed. Only the one half wall adjacent to the flame turret would need to be upgraded. I understand why the other one is wood. I haven't played around a lot with wood walls and flame turrets/ incend rockets, so maybe the damage is negligible, but if it isn't then that one half-wall would need to be stone
You leave at least one of the half walls wood so that you can soft side it. When one of the half walls is destroyed, both of the floor stacked squares on top get destroyed, allowing you to replace the door in the top middle of the 2x1. After you replace the door in the top middle, you can use twig on the outside of the base to replace the half wall and the floorstack.

I struggle hard when surface is not flat to get the foundation up with twig I use the ramp etc so rough
Just asking, because I'm relatively new to building.
If you put a triangle hatch instead of the triangle twig, would that work too upping to raidcost even more?
My idea was so they had to go through the triangle hatch, but destroy it and bunker is sealed again with the stairsbunkers.
or will this not work because of the possibility them only destroying the triangle hatch and not the triangle itself?

every time i get to the floor stacking bit, the floors refuse to play nicely, i'm assuming i'm just not getting the height right on the 1st triangle foundation, wish there was a better way than just "eyeing" it.
if you have not learned the center of your screen then some sort of cross-hair might help you line up the center of your screen with the little x on twig ramp and then you can offset from that to change the gap height in the floor stack

im not very experienced with building so it may be some obvious reason but i wonder why do you need 3rd stairs bunker? what exactly does it do?
With 3 it is about the equivalent of at least 2.5+ hq walls even with almost perfect splashing that they will have to go through to get to the core. With 2 they will also have a better view of what the bunker is instead of giving up once they get it to and if they pop the right spiral stair then they may be able to get though. I believe it’s the strongest bunker available at this time.
everytime i do the first bit i cant get the square to fit on the lower part what am i doing wrong, do you crouch when placing the triangles at the start or stand up. ive seen people use a small wooden box as a guide>???
Center your screen with the x on the ramp (you can move up and down from the x depending on how thick you want the gap to be) and then look up and place the first triangle foundation, strafe to the right without moving your mouse and then back to the left and when you overlap the foundations and it won't go any further to the left you place the second one. I think you can do it crouching or standing but both should be placed in the same body position.

Hello, could it somehow mess up the bunker if I upgraded walls around it to hqm and place armored single door next to it? Now its open and cant seal it. Before I started upgrading it worked normaly 😂😂
I found the the walls that border the triangle twig piece (needed for opening the bunker) needs to be a different material than the 3 stairs.

I've heard its possible but difficult. You can build the base without the floorstack, the stairs bunker still works.
@@JewerGG I have used your 8 bunker floor stack on rust console. floor stacking works better after build 2.0 on rust console.

The stair bunker isnt possible on console yet unfortunately. I check every time theres an update because i use it now in a large version but would love to scale it down with the triangle stairs. Would help smaller groups too if we could.

Am I crazy or is it not possible to unseal the bunker from the outside without the light? When I try to place the frame without the light it gets instantly destroyed. Did something change, or is the light still necessary?

I was watching this video to learn a floor stack design. When you showed the top of the intersecting stairs and when you laid out your boxes with that skin I remembered I had seen this all before... in a base I offline raided. This would have been 3-6 months ago. Maybe it could have been one of your viewers but on the off chance it was you I would like to apologize... sorry for the offline. From my recollection I was showing the game to my friend and you were shitting on him. I wanted to show him a taste of revenge to get him into the game.

lol i was 10 minutes into the build before i found out... damn it
So I have been building stair bunker bases for a couple of months now, it has one big problem though, and it's because anyone can open it, and yes, you can attach industrial lights or other deployable electronics, but they are extremely weak to splash damage and will break after like 3-4 rockets, which in result will allow the raiders to build a triangle twig and get in, same goes for incendiary rockets, a precise inc. rocket could take out all the electronics, so in reality it's more like a 1 inc. rocket raid, and I have no idea what could work as a solution to this weakness that the stair bunker has, what do you think about this jewer?
Did you use high qual on the stairs which completely seals the bunker, or did you use sheet?
@@xasx999 problem is that in rust u can place floors and ladderhatch frames without being in the TC, so anyone can open it

this is a cool design, but no matter what I do I can't floor stack those two square ones (where you place the garage doors and where you have the two single door frames to jump down to the square air lock.
I get the raised triangles down and even if I put an extra stacked triangle in the honeycomb next to the single door frames (which gives 1-2% extra stability) the square stacks ALWAYS collapse.
The ones you place around the 08:30 or so mark.

took me ages to get the floor stack correctly placed, noobs like myself make sure you step to the right down the ramp and do not move your upper body, otherwise they will not line up correctly. :)
Anyone know a way to make jumping out of the core easier, I’m having a lot of trouble jumping onto the triangle with the stair on it
you could also very easily make the tc a pixel gap if you wanted too simply by adding a half wwall on the bottom

Everyone raids through walls. The bunker method is useless.
I get as far as placing the door frame for the third floor door on the floating wall in the core. It tells me that I am too close to another building. Is there a common error that I can adjust to fix this?
Anyone know why I can place doors frames walls etc from the floor below, on my floorstacked base, with no issues on build servers but when I build on an actual live server I can still place frames and walls but NOT the doors?? I know rust was patched a while ago to stop doors being placed in this manner but every build server I try allows me to replace doors so I assumed it was viable again?? If it is still patched to not allow you to replace doors like this how come I can do it without issue on build servers? Any helpful ideas as to what the F is going on??
build servers have more relaxed settings, theres a fair amount of things you can do on build servers that you cant on regular ones. such as using doors to push you through walls.
@@JewerGG Thanks Jewer, that's crazy that test servers don't mirror what you can do on a live server. That sort of defeats the purpose of testing builds if you can't replicate your build on a real server!!??? Its actually your 8 bunker base that I've built and now can't get doors on any frames joined to the the core. I would have put them down first but didn't need to when testing so I thought it wasn't an issue anymore. I thought something like that was hardwired into the game and not something that could be turned on and off by server owners hence why I just assumed it was possible on all servers again. My bad I guess. Am I to assume from this that any door raid on a lower core floorstack will result in complete loss of the base because you won't be able to replace those doors?
@@karlhammond904 You could use windows on the second story instead of a door, then replace it when you log
@@JewerGG I would but I have an extra story and too many doors would have to become windows (I basically have garage doors in all the core wall slots on each story) making it unusable for me. Cheers for the advice anywayz man. Appreciate it.

Even if you up the core to hq its still a 20 rocket raid from sides, nobody drills top down anymore
If you're curious, this is a typical offline raid on this base when it's fully upgraded after a few days of playing on a server. They give up on hammering the side, go through doors, and give up at the stair bunker and come out with no loot. imgur.com/a/Y9Q9PfG

it's the same as adding another layer to the top of your base it just makes your base look smaller than it would if you had half stories like a pancake layer
After some build testing, I found it only cost 8 rockets to get to the core.... Is that not the case with the honey combing right next to the TC? How do you go about completely sealing the TC from potential raiders, and what is the purpose of the half wall above TC besides the next floor's double stack?
