To anyone watching whose video quality is appearing bright/over exposed: turn the resolution down to 720p. Not sure what's causing this or if it's just something occurring on my end but it fixed the issue.
100% subjective. I own 2, one with jubilee and another one with Islander bracelet... I did the swap and nah! This one (ISL-20) looks killer with the bracelet it comes with. It’s a really low profile watch, and with the bling of the jubilee bracelet doesn’t match (at least for me). Greetings!
I've got the exact same watch in 42mm. Even though I have a small wrist (a little over 6"), I love wearing a big watch on my wrist. I also have the SK013 and SKX175 (Pepsi version) and I like them both. BTW nice review. I love the dual time function of this watch because I track the time in the Philippines which is ahead by 15 hrs in the summer, 16 hrs in the winter from where I'm at (California).
I have an ISL-05, great watch! Love it. Not 1 scratch after 14 months. Runs a bit slow though... I guess I need to adjust it. Is this something a novice can do by himself?
I have that exact watch and love it. Perfect for nearly any occasion. I do plan on swapping out the bezel at some point for better grip. Luckily these are 100% compatible with seiko aftermarket parts.
Great review. Been thinking of getting an iSL-05 for the longest time as I prefer the jubilee bracelet over the oyster one. Like you i have a puny 6-inch wrist 😭
It is significantly better than the original Seiko in all ways except lume. If Marc could get his hands on Lumibrite for his Islander Watches, I would never look at a Seiko again!
The green one is one of the sale watches. Sold out in the first run, and the he got too much inventory the second run. With a first buyer coupon it wat $227 out the door.

If Seiko did this as an SPB model with 6R movement, pressed indices, and aluminum bezel it would they would sell it for $1200. So this is a bargain if you don't care about the name.
Clearly you have a small wrist. The bracelet is all wrong. The end link extensions make it look bigger .... is this a small watch for bigger wrists ???? ..... looks that way. If you have less than 6 3/4 wrist do not buy this watch .... only if you plan to invest in an extra bracelet !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
according to the other comments he has aftermarket end links. he also has a 6 inch wrist which is still a bit smaller than 6 3/4. i wouldnt go around commenting and telling people not to buy this watch based on their wrist size. for most wrists under 6 3/4 this is gonna be fine

I was initially disappointed when Seiko discontinued the 013. However, I believe the Islander 38 surpasses it dramatically.
This channel will blow up with subs in near future.

I have the isl-18 and I absolutely love it! It's running +2sec a day, not bad for the NH36A and the bezel has no play on mine. ✨⌚✨

Where can I buy the end links you have on this video instead of the stock islander end links? ?
The end links came from a Miltat oyster style bracelet also bought from the Islander website. It was a made for the SKX013.
