    I recommend reversing the image. When its done, you can view it through the other side and the clarity is much better, especially if you use edge lighting LED strips.
    FYI for those asking - Diode lasers won't work on clear acrylic without some treatment because it goes through it.

    You really don't want to use isopropyl after cutting with the laser as a common problem is crazing and micro cracking due to the alcohol

      Wrong, we have a LED light company we run for a living and made over 10000s LED Lamps.

    Would a light coat of watered down dish detergent work as well as the alcohol, or better? Ive never used alcohol, but the detergent works great, just rinse under water, no rubbing.

    • @ImagR-Laser
      @ImagR-Laser  2 года назад +3

      I did that before, but it was annoying to wash off all the soap from the acrylics. On alcohol i am way faster, and definitely don‘t get watermarks.

    Cool video! May I ask what is the purpose to mirror the image?

    • @ImagR-Laser
      @ImagR-Laser  2 года назад +3

      You‘re actually engraving it on the backside of the acrylic. If you won‘t mirror, it will look wrong after engraving, especially with fonts.
      If you engrave it on the front you will get a weird parallax effect.

    • @ClownfishDepot

      @ImagR Thank you very much for the explanation. I did my first test and the mirror one looks a lot better. It actually looks like it has a depth to it. Question for you: I have a Lightburn file but it won't load into imagR. Am I doing something wrong?
