Deleting her music was an objectively bad move, people will hear boyfriend and want to listen to more of her music and only see her Disney stuff
She deleted all of her old music because she didn't think they represented who she was as a person and an artist. It has nothing to do with her success of boyfriend, it has to do with her trying to be genuine and express her true self to all the people who look up to her. She even said all this in an interview, please do your research

Dove, I understand that you think that your old songs doesn't represent you anymore, but people really connected with them, and that's the things about art, touching people's hearts and souls, even if it is a song of a sad period of your life, it's still a part of your history, a personal art creation, and a beautiful one. Bad memories and pain can create the most beautiful things with art, music, literature, etc. And this is the perfect example for this.

Waste was literally one of my favorite songs. If you don’t agree with your old music don’t perform it at concerts anymore… taking it away from streaming platforms so people can no longer play it is something else.

I wish she had respect for this … such a beautiful song and she is treating her first single ever like it didn’t mean SHIT. I remember being so excited for this and being happy that she was finally releasing music on her own, but now that is all tainted by this stupid move and her lack of consideration to her fans and her own music.
I agree.. It seems so wrong to dispose of all of her songs as if she's embarrassed by them. Lazybaby was only a year old! Saying that they don't 'fit her sound' doesn't make any sense to me... Boyfriend isn't wildly different sounding, and she hasn't been that consistent with vocals during live performances anyways. I wish she respected her own journey more. Now it looks like she's just Disney and Boyfriend

My ex from twenty + years ago turned me on to these two songs. And before all of that I had never even knew her name or ever heard a single song by Dove. Nonetheless it's a waste of good art to dismantle what is considered to be creativity and bloodshot is what made me think about twenty years passing and My ex and I have missed each other for a very long time. This song I could identify what she meant in some of the things she has said. It's a waste if it's destroyed or dismantled in some way.

What a dumb move...I didn't knew Dove only cared about fame. 'Boyfriend' is a great song, but you can't compare it to these masterpieces.
What Dove did is disrespectful toward her music, her fans, and herself. I'm so disappointed. What is the point of all of this ? Deleting your amazing work to reupload only some of them that seem to be done very quickly, badly, and cheap.
You want a fresh start, do a new album ! That is the all point of it, you do an album when you want a new era and aesthetic.
