Piston removal- Diesel Generator unit overhaul series part 2- HIMSEN

👉 Note that the hydraulic jack has to fully tighten and then loosen 1(one) turn before applying pressure, and loosen for 5 holes before releasing the pressure.
Also the piston ring clearances has to be taken before the rings are removed.

U didn't mention that the hydraulic jack must be 1 turn unscrewed before applying the pressure, and when the pressure of the nut is reached that nut is uncrewed for 5 to 6 holes, before removing piston rings you ought to check the piston ring clearance, as well as piston pin clearance Thank u for the video it is a very good refreshment

Yes, you are right... about hydraulic jack i have mentioned in the part 1 to turn it back before applying pressure and unscrew 5-6 holes. I didn't mention it in this part thinking this as a continuation of part 1. Still it would have been better if i added that too... Also measuring piston ring clearances before removing rings is a must... sorry for not adding that... will make a video with all those details in future.... thanks for your comments....

@@marinermind761 sir, how the cylinder liner is lubricated in this engine? 1) oil coming through the gudgeon pin hole to the cylinder liner? OR
2. any sort of nozzle/jet oil spray from the bottom? or 3 is there any hole on connecting rod to spray the lub oil in upward direction? Or
4. just splashing lubrication done by submerged crank throw of the cranshaft?
which way oil is going to the liner and making a oil film?
