i love that it characterizes Lord X like more of a mob boss rather than a demonic entity, especially with the funky vibe the song's going for. pretty good overall tbh.
You know the song is good when you can interpret character traits just from how it's composed. Really gives Lord X more depth in a way, coming off as a more engaging villain.

Considering Lord X is a Sonic fan at heart, hence why he chose him as his vessel, this song has such an eerie undertone to it while still being funky asf.
Since the description implies he made it, it’s almost as if he heard Sonic music and replicated the style to the best of his ability. Despite the fact he is NOT Sonic and puts people through a living hell.
Just the concept of playing a Sonic game when this theme comes on abruptly in a stage or something rather than the standard music. You’d probably start busting a move to this song you’ve never heard before not knowing your life is in grave danger.

i like that there seems to be more funky lord x songs than spooky ones nowadays
not to say there isn't plenty of merit in our spooky dooky x music, cycles and joyous and such are fuckin great, but the non spooky songs for him are pretty important to his characterization i feel like
makes even more sense now that he's apparently canonically a continuation of 2011x, turning it from an interesting dichotomy to a full on character growth, gone from playing with souls like toys and demanding they fear him as god to bending and twisting them as what he sees as fine art, and keeping on the 'i am god' thing more as a mockery of gods, and the dichotomy between the imposing 2011x music and the more playful lordX music represents that growth pretty well i think

What's truly disturbing about all this is, it's fun. That's it. It's fun. That's what completely disturbs me. This is X we're talking about. An eldrich horror that genuinely takes otherworldly pleasure in killing, maiming, desecrating, and utterly annihilating anything in his way. And yet he's playing playful music and having constructs playing along with the "funky 80's gangster Michael Jackson vibe" as if trying to get us to forget who he is just so he can instantly drop the facade and take you straight back to Cycles and take his time reminding you who you're dealing with.
Nothing scares me more than a demon/monster trying to "level" or "relate" with us in order to sell a deception.
