Komt hij ooit nog in goede doen?
hij speelt toch...hij is van de kaart en hij speelt ons nog allemaal magistraal voorbij. een legende, die we wellicht minder waarderen dan we zouden moeten doen.

I watched a documentary film about Jimmy Rosenberg. It was sad to see what happened to him andi I wish him all the best. Some of the footage of his playing in the documentary was astonishing (not to be gagued by his playing here). Fantastic playing all round!

Even when not playing his best (and handicapped by a HUGE coat), Jimmy is still a force of nature with a guitar in his hands.
I receive several reactions to this video. I want to plead: keep it nice fellows, no "damns"or "curses". It wont help. Jimmy is a nice guy who met the wrong people. Moneymakers. Bad persons so to speak. From time to time Jimmy realizes what he's up to and wants to come back. But then again come his "friends".....sad story.
He nobody is perfect he is a great artist just remember that

JIm looks sedated. Maybe drugs? Maybe not. He said he lost all interest in playing. in that documentary. What a shame. God love him for what he did bring the world.
amsedelm sad but true many who stopped drugs stopped playing.
It seems like he may be struggling with the long scale of that instrument. In all the other videos he's playing a normal scale guitar.
How does he manage to play in that huge coat?
Misschien wat teveel gespeculeer over Jimmy? Hoe meer iedereen op hem wacht hoe meer druk, give him some time, OK?
He has a great touch.

@swingingfred You mean Zoumana Diarra, a great musician (origin: Mali) who plays guitar, kora, balafon and ngoni. Check him out and you'll find some great music.

Ach, hij ziet er in ieder geval een stuk beter uit dan 5 jaar geleden, een stuk meer vlees op zijn botten. Clean of niet, hij is wel vooruitgegaan de afgelopen jaren.

I don't know about this .... It's so painful to see Jimmy fixed up like this ... He could have been sooo great and have a brilliant career - instead he's throwing his talent to the wind.
And he's not the first one to do that ... so sad.
Stochelo has all my sympathy, he's doing what he can to help - but heroin controls its victims.
The other 2 guys are better than Jimmy here. really nice! LOve it!
Easy to see that Jimmy was just a shadow of himself here. He still might be considered by some the there ever was.

I'm sorry but i dont understand what happens in the beginnin of the video before they start! I can imagine what: probably jimmy's blathering something due to drugs... i'm so sorry for that, i think he's a great talented artist, must be also a good person, such as mr stochelo. Oh, dude, I'm so sorry for that, drug is such a goddam shit, however mr jimmy has all my respect! How's he going now?
@swingingfred ....shoot!!.....He looks like the late Johnny "Guitar" Watson!!! I though he was going to upstage all those gypsies by cranking up his amp and ditching the Minor Swing jam and singing "Superman Lover" or " Ain't That a Bitch" instead....
Sorry, but people who are under drugs, don´t belong on the stage...Jimmy is a great musician, but first he needs to get away from the drugs....
