i love them all five SB19 boys, but Ken/Felip just stands out for me. He is different, there are lots of belters, rappers, and there are others with deep voices, but i find Ken/Felip on a different level, usually those with deep voices do country, or heavy metal rock, but Ken/Felip, he raps, and.... DANCES, you SHOULD WATCH and hopefully react to his performance at the Pagtatag Manila where he was wearing red pants, and performed STRAYDOGS with choreography, which was soooo 🔥🔥🔥 and another Felip perf worth seeing was his PPopcon 2023 SOLO, they're both fan cam uploads, just find the HD quality and hope you could react to both in one RV (i was also blown away by his Ayala Mall Manila Bay performance, another fancam upload, and I was there in his Glorietta Ayala Malls Christmas Tree Lighting where one of the songs he sang was a cover of Justin Bieber's Mistletoe, and the crowd was just so hyped up, i didnt go near for fear of a stampede 😅, his attack on Mistletoe also has a rock edge to it, his cover of a Filipino original song-Moving Closer also feels like soft rock, edgier than the original) Btw, not hating on KPop, but with regards to SB19, i find most KPop vocally sounds the same to me. With SB19, i was blown away with how they sound and of course how they perform with stable vocals, rarely breathless. 9:09 SB19 does have something akin to opera 😅, but rock opera, i just couldn't quite recall what song it was that has a rock opera feel at the chorus or bridge part.
Felip's versatility is crazy. His 'Palayo" song had an RnB vibe, His Complex EP sounds so different, and now Fake Faces --- This dude is indeed a chameleon!

Felip, as a soloist is entirely different from KEN of SB19. As member of SB19, Ken is known as d member w a deep voice and main dancer. As Felip, he became known as a Rockstar. He was able to showcase his multi talents and skills. He can play guitar, piano, drums, beat box. His a good dancer also recently awarded as d Best PPOP Dancer. He is also a songwriter/composer. He composed all his solo songs except this Fake Faces. But the lyrics were co- written by Felip.
FAKE FACES is the prelude of COMPLEX EP that has 6 songs on it and KANAKO is his redemption song - ode to his fans, family and friends and above all to GOD. Felip's versality is insane, an icon indeed!

Felip is simply talented, read that this is created and produced by a Korean American Hyuk Shin and Seann Bowe who also worked with global superstars Justin Bieber K-pop icons Super Junior TXT EXO SHINEE GIRL’S GENERATION and more. What can I say, one day soon the music industry all over the world cannot deny Felip’s talent. During an interview Felip said that he and his brothers will stay together as SB19 and supports each other for their individual solos, he said that he will never leave his brothers and that he will die as SB19, same goes with the rest of SB19. They each have individual talents that is why they are so good when they perform together, SB19 music or sound is not the same if one of them is missing during their performances🤔🧐🔥🔥🔥
Felip has been singing at a very young age in a church and singing was his first love until puberty hits, his voice changed and he can no longer sing those high notes. However his voice quality is still there, still amazing. He has honed his low voice to be able to get to do different genres. He is truly unique and a tru genius. Somehow, I found it hilarious when you mentioned opera and musical because my mind suddenly went to Stell and his awesome Lion King and Wicked renditions 😂. What I really appreciate about SB19 is that they don't stifle the growth of the individual members but instead nurture their talents. And they are all very grounded that they always put the group's interest above their solo pursuits. They remind me of my other fave, Bigbang. Like Bigbang, each Sb19 member can hold his own. And together, they are a force to reckon with. I really pray that they attain international recognition as a group or as solo artists. Felip really has a lot of potential. Felip worked with top caliber producer Hyuk Shin and also top notch composer Seann Bowe in Malaysia. Felip's geared up and bound to the international scene with his superb talent, vocal quality and style coupled with his versatility and creativity as an artist. His sound is more westernize which i think would cater to a lot which you can def hear from his songs. This track throws me back to the early/mid 2000's pop punk bands like Simple Plan, Blink182, Panic at the Disco, My Chemical Romance, Red Jumpsuit Apparatus and the likes. Felip's vocal really does suit alternative/rock genre tho we know how versatile he is in bending genres for real. The song and the aesthetic of the mv fits well. The title itself and the lyrics is very much relatable actually him and his SB19 bros experienced it as well given the industry they're in. Felip with his slick black hair and look doesn't just embody it he is indeed a natural Rocksta. While for their SB19 music, Pablo mentioned before that he needs to make compositions that could accommodate all the members in terms of range or their forte.
