Is this a popularity contest? Because how come I was always obsessed with Ancient Egypt and Ancient Greece since age 8 in the 3rd grade and there were no media influence, no peer pressure, or no social media trends involved. It was a natural affinity I had as a boy from one (ancient Atlantis-like, Garden of Eden-like) kingdom on Earth dating to back to antiquity to the next. No wonder why I was never seduced by Jewish, Muslim, Turkish, black, Latino, Thai, or Vietnamese history that always ALWAYS play victim. I was always into original songs (with a human God-King as the Messianic Middle that is) not cover or remake songs. Worshiping the wind, sky, and nature remind me of tribal pagan beliefs which is superstitious to me. And to like countries based on their current economy or GDP doesn’t sound alluring to me one bit because it reminds me of rags to riches stories where anyone can become filthy rich which is comparable to giving stickers to every elementary school child or crowning the high school prom king and queen based on popularity contest, which is not enchanting at all to me in comparison to Chosen One (royal or noble caste/descent) stories in which the Chosen One discovers His true identity later in life. 😇
So underrated. I was just recommending it to a friend who is looking to stay somewhere for a few months. I think we will be back this autumn to see more of it.
@@ayngelina thank you for showing love to my motherland. I should be ashamed for only been there twice for the last 40 years. Want to go back there more after retiring.
If I get to Kampot, Kep and the offshore islands like Koh Rong would be a nice trip. Those cabana fans would keep me alive.😂 Good advice on the oysters! I really love how you have treated Cambodia with respect and enthusiastic support!❤
@@JimmyDau did you know the Kampot pepper is actually originally from Sumatra when the Dutch colonized the king of Aceh didn’t want them to have the pepper so they burnt the fields and the French then started growing in Cambodia
I used to hate eating crabs and lobsters as well because they require so much work and effort. And quite frankly I didn’t know how to eat them either. I was also assisted by my parents growing up, even when I was in Kep 10 years ago and tried those very same crabs. Also, because I was born with natural gentleman artist hands as praised by Jack Dawson’s character in Titanic as well as by elites in kingdom on Earth cultures in juxtaposition to rough-handed men who exude tribal paganism. On top of all of this, I hated getting my hands dirty ever since I was a kid even when eating Buffalo Wings. My 2nd eldest sister used to make fun of me as a kid and say I look like I have rigor mortis after eating finger foods such as Buffalo Wings in which my hands were dirty from the coated sauce, so can you image me trying African, Middle Eastern, Indian, and Indonesian food that are literally hand foods? I can’t. I need utensils. That’s when I had an epiphany and realized Khmer food is finger food and not hand foods. It’s great that you try Khmer food, and it isn’t offensive if you’re weird out by foreign foods. As a first generation fraternal twin Khmer raised American since infancy, I remember I was so scared to try all foreign foods that weren’t Khmer. I was scared to try American food, Italian food, Indian food, Korean food, Puerto Rican, Turkish food, and so forth. It was not until college that I finally decided to try other foods.
I come from Nova Scotia where we have lobster fishermen at our doorstep and I've always been comfortable with seafood. But at home I was never crazy about crab because of the work involved but Cambodian crab is much easier with more meat and the sauce is so tasty.
Hello A & A! Heat wave here @104 in CA. Seafood & beach in the shade can't be beat! Notice sellers wearing hats with masks, now i know why! Going tmrw 2 have scalp checked! Nose slow healing. Take care. Love the Kampot pepper! Traveled at your age & never drank water(coconuts) and endured the heat. Keep traveling while young! Cambodia is such a great country! Consider Colorscience Mineral Sunscreen Brush when at the beach, SPF 50!
@@ayngelina Yes will send list! One i am trying is Nature's Brand Tinted Face & body lotion, light ivory, $!5. Tried Blue Lizard Stick, 2 greasy & comes off with sweating.
I went to the store today and it seems like every brand even Neutrogena now has mineral sunscreen, but now I'm overwhelmed if one is better than the other
Hi, Asian women have thicker dermis, more collagen than us & they spend more time on their skin. My advice: buy sunscreen in the country & bring if u can carry & cover up when in hot, tropical sun! Ru really going to reapply every 2 hrs & limit your time on a motorcycle or a beach, not 2 mention $$$ of sunscreenAsk Carly of exploring sumatra, she is nz woman married 2 Indo man living in Lake Toba 4 years....
Very underrated country and best crabs and peppers in the world

Those crabs looked awesome! Great beach day and loved the tips about the pepper for the crabs. Good info!
It was delicious and crab isn’t usually my thing but this changed my mind.
The crab looks amazing. I love eating crab on a beach.
I usually prefer lobster but I’m biased because I’m from Nova Scotia. But this was the best crab I’ve ever had.
Kep is my favourite place in Cambodia . I stayed just across from the restaurants .
I would love to spend more time there next time.
Thank bong for sharing about us❤
My pleasure 😊 I hope to be back soon!
Love your pleasant travel attitude. New subbie!
Welcome!! Thank you for commenting too 🥰 it makes my day.
Such a yummy lunch.😋
My favourite so far in Cambodia
Here in the state, one 🦀 with a plat of fry rice $75.00
Great video ❤❤❤❤❤🙏🙏🙏🙏.
I know crab is so pricey! When I realized how much we were getting for under $10 I couldn’t believe it!
@@ayngelina those price won’t last too long if the country is more developed.
Nothing stays the same, I only hope it evolves to help locals prosper.
Great, I will go to visit Kep tomorrow evening ❤
I’m so jealous!

Cambodia was such a surprise. I really thought I’d never go back but we had such a good time there. Some places just feel right.
Looks really good
Usually crab is too much trouble but this was worth it.
I loved the crab market when I visited. Be sure to bring a bag of pepper back home!

ឆ្ងាញ់ណាស់ / delicious !
I would love to go back and eat it again!
I really want to visit Kep and try seafood there.
If the rest of it is like these crabs you will only regret leaving, I definitely want to return.
@@ayngelina I will definitely visit there.
Eat those green pepper corns too they are amazing peppery spicy very fragrant
The peppercorns are the best part! I wish I could buy it fresh when I’m at home in Canada to show my family.
@@ayngelinaYes, I wish I could fresh ones but they can only import dried peppercorn berries into the US.
Warm welcome to Cambodia 🇰🇭❤
Thank you, we had such a great time we’re hoping to return this autumn

I am so glad you left this as I’m heading home this week and on my list was to search the comments for your recommendation!
That sunscreen is $95 in Canada! Should I look for a different one, making sure it’s a mineral sunscreen?

I'm happy you enjoyed it!
What period of the year is this?
We were in Cambodia in April.
6:40 Everything is better is a leaf !!
You know it!
9$ for 1kg cooked crab is actually really cheap !
I know! I wasn't sure how much a KG would be and then when she said 9 for them cooked I knew I was getting a great price.
