why we used chain instead of belt in clinker grinder ?

Chains are preferred over belts in clinker grinders for several key reasons:
Durability and Strength: Clinker grinders handle very abrasive materials, like clinker, which is a byproduct of coal combustion. Chains are made of metal, which can withstand the heavy wear and tear caused by these abrasive particles better than belts, which are typically made of rubber or similar materials.
Temperature Resistance: Clinker grinders often operate in high-temperature environments. Chains can withstand high temperatures without degrading, whereas belts can lose strength, stretch, or even melt when exposed to extreme heat.
Maintenance: Chains are generally easier to maintain in harsh environments. They can be lubricated and inspected for wear, and individual links can be replaced as needed. Belts, on the other hand, can suffer from slippage, require proper tensioning, and are more difficult to repair if damaged.
Load Handling: Chains are better at handling the high loads and shocks that are common in clinker grinding operations. They provide a more positive and reliable power transmission compared to belts, which can slip under heavy loads or when contaminated with dust and debris.
