I just plan to go some where, I work and study and don't get home to 8pm some nights so I have to make the most of my time on the week ends. I either go for a trail walk or run in some remote area with green stuff normally a national park or something, or I ride to some country town, and have a lunch in the garden, I normally just hang out and write for a few hours. I have a polaroid so I make sure I use it. I don't talk to many people in my apartment, they all seem a bit like people from the TV Show Seinfeld, quirky weird.
I hope that when I live alone I can meet and talk to more people in the neighborhood to get to know them well! Congratulations on the freelance thing Negeen!

What you’re saying makes complete sense! I haven’t talked talked to a soul in my building. I just watch people like a creep out the window lol and try to guess where they might live in relation to me and also get jealous of the people I think that live in the floors above me because ground level is soul crushing.

I live alone and I definitely get what you mean by being in a bubble. I’ve only ever spoken to 1 or 2 neighbours and I don’t know anyones name. It’s for my safety but I totally get why it would be a good idea to befriend someone for emergencies.

I also have a lot of friends, but I tend to shy away from meeting new people or like you said getting to know your neighbors. I’ve been living alone for almost a year and I have experienced all that your talking about. It was a definitely an adjustment period after living with a roommate. I love watching all your videos. The part where you said that you enjoy being with your parents because you don’t feel like you have to put on a show for anyone got me thinking. I believe that’s how it should be with our friends and out significant other (for those who have one 😂) as well. If not, it’ll not work. I used to feel that putting on a show for having more chances to have a boyfriend or more friends could seem like a good idea at first, but it’ll drain you and won’t last. So let’s not put a show for them, and only for the people we work with I guess 😅

I feel ya. I’m in my late 20s, live alone, want to date but also don’t want to, and have to work hard to maintain good mental health. I also love reading and I think a sign of when I’m not doing as well as I could be is when I haven’t been reading for a while. I enjoy my job and I work from home. I live in Australia and we have an insurance scheme called the National Disability Insurance Scheme and it provides funding for people with significant disabilities, so I work in the invoicing/accounts area of that. I have a great life, I have a loving family, wonderful friends, I’m genuinely content with my life. But there are definitely those times where I’m like ‘damn, we need to get out of the house’. Or ‘god another long stretch of weekend, what am I supposed to do by myself?’. So yes, I relate to you, I understand how you feel. I don’t think we need a reason to feel depressed, differing moods are all part of the ebb and flow of life. But if it’s too severe Prozac can definitely help ☺️ I hope you’re alright x
