When you tear up and school library that is a crime not a protest.

They should have shown the pictures of the rooms filled with books that had been destroyed.

I would say the judge should garnish their wages to pay for the damage but we all know there won't be any wages.

There are plenty of wages off the books, I'm sure.

The library looks like the rest of Portland now. Wrecked, dirty and tagged and not open for business.

Glad I got the hell out of Eugene in the late 90's. My memory is of a still-beautiful region.

Looks like the rest of Portland now... When you allow this to happen, you have to live with it.

Let me guess, we the tax payers will have to foot the bill and not the little brats and school officials that allowed them to throw a tantrum and take over. It's like watching terrible parents stand around watching their 6 year old throw a fit until the parents give in.

I wonder if those who did the physical damage with the spray paint, etc. were actually students. People who use that library are not likely to damage it. Student occupations of university buildings do not usually include serious damage to the facilities. My guess is that those who did physical damage are some of some the same people who do property damage to the businesses downtown whenever there are big protests-usually with their faces covered, hooded, and wearing black. Student protest has a different ethos. It is not usually destructive.

Black bloc ppl are called "antifa". They are the ones the Left were defending so vigorously when Trump was in office, remember? The Proud Boys were the biggest danger to America, supposedly. Well, it turns out Proud Boys weren't much of a problem at all, but the communists of antifa are still desyroying anything they can get away with.

How do the reporters know factually that it was the students who trashed the library? What about agent provocateurs? It has always been as standard police method of influencing the public against change.

I've heard that only 4 of the 31 arrests were PSU students. Most are antifa communists stirring up chaos. That's their tactic - they're goal is to overthrow capitalism.

Lemme ask this, why would they be allowed in such events in the first place?

@@eastbaykidd8574 They disguise themselves as one of the protestors or come in after they have been removed and then do the damage and take pictures of the damage they have done.
