Ohhhhh, the way he sang that ballad!!! You would have sworn one of the legendary vocalists came back to life, it was like him and the band took the soul out of the venue and moved it into a different era. Amazing command and liberty over the lyric, totally astonishing!!! And wow, that song he wrote at the end with repelling energy over a static chord progression, as soon as he finished singing the melody before the piano solo, he literally escaped into the natural world, the nature of life. 2013 was probably the best year of the competition, such distinctive artistry between voices it would make an impossible decision for the adjudicators!!!
