yay!! he is back!!! and with my a1 level german (😂) let me correct you as "danke schön" at 7:33 ;) Or is dankuchen a Dutch word that I don't know? enlighten me hahaha
@@TakiBruinsma i was shocked at how much you paid for that tiny little flight too??? terrible value for money, you could've even gone first class on the ICE for a lot less.
on that journey i think plane are faster than the train for sure but not the cheapest way of course, but we have more chance to arrive at Frankfurt on time by plane than the train , of course the train is the cheapest one on this journey but not the most reliable service because everyone know that how bad the ponctuality of the DB are and 2nd reason the ICE i'm not real fan of that train because problem happens often with that train when problems come the journey time can be extended easily by 30 to 1 hours, i travelled a once with ICE unfortunetely my train has never reached it's destination on time, of course peoples are free to choose their opinion, but i think plane is faster on that journey if peoples have to take plane from Frankfurt i advice at 100% the plane if peoples have to go to Frankfurt dowtown the train is the best way without guarantee of ponctuality of course
Just the amount of different transportation methods etc. you do have to take to get to he Airport in the first place, plus the amount of just standing in line / sitting around waiting and the horrific comfort of Economy plane vs. 2nd class long distance train makes this no comparison when it comes to a relaxed travel experience. Of course this ICE spent only 1 hour or so on actual high speed lines (between Bonn and Frankfurt Airport station) and was on lines shared with commuter and freight trains for the rest of the journey. So there should be other options where the train is also quicker. Lufthansa has stopped all domestic flights between Cologne and Frankfurt, once the Bonn - Frankfurt high speed line opened and instead offered code share "flights" with DB, were your ICE train would also be an LH Flight number. Not sure if that's still done. But Deutsche Bahn is a Member of Star Alliance and afaik still the the online Non-Airline that is part of an Airline Alliance.
got hooked on this channel.
Took longer but train Taki ftw!
Just 30 mins faster but the convenience on trains is just topnotch

OMG I’m so embarrassed… that was very ignorant of me! Sorry about that 🙃 I will never trust Google again 🫠
@@TakiBruinsma 😄 no problem
If you take any other ICE from Amsterdam, you go directly to Frankfurt(Main) Hbf
less goo, team plane wins!!
plane + train + train + bus + bus versus train + train, more like.....big W for the trains too. much easier and more relaxed and only slightly longer!
This!!! Big win for the train, I agree!

Amsterdam Centraal - Frankfurt Flughafen
Frankfurt Flughafen - Frankfurt Main

If you look at the price and time I'd pick the train easily
Is ICE the only train operator to Amsterdam? Can I purchase the ticket from the station / counter pm the spot?

What camera/tripod do you use?
Who would use a train if there is a plane?
Me!
it's a much better option, why fly???
