🏠Tiina, I appreciate your comments on your set up - it’s very real- life! I’m guilty of making set ups I hate for all of the reasons you listed, and it’s just comforting to know I’m not the only one! But, I really do like how your paintings turned out!
I love it! (and you have inspired me to try buildings, which I normally avoid). You are too hard on yourself.... as you get older, you learn that sometimes its best just to say less. Once you start, its often hard to stop.
Thank you! I definitely disagree with you on this tho, as I tried to say multiple times in the video, I want to be honest with my audience and saying something like ”I had a blast with this theme and I love absolutely everything about it!” just isn’t genuine and many people have said how it actually helps them hear others voice their disappointments sometimes so they don’t feel so alone with theirs. Like I said in the video, most of my negative thoughts about this theme just have to do with my own expectations, my very strict time-frame and just the stress of life that often affects every part of my life. As an artist and content creator I think it’s my job to voice my not-so-positive thoughts too as everyone feels this way sometimes and acting like I don’t gives unreasonal expectations to others just starting. Social media is already so fake so just even an inch of honesty is in my opinion always better!
Absolutely love this! I’ve been looking for a watercolor journal that is big, has an elastic band, and hardcover and the mellow days link you gave is so helpful! Buying a lot right now!
The first thought I had when I saw the thumbnail was your theme from two years ago and it seems like I wasn't wrong! I think it can be so fun to revisit old themes and have that continuity in your journal but also see how your style has changed and if you can interpret the topic a bit differently or with different materials. Loved it as per usual! And it is also giving me major Venice vibes since I just was there and the main architectural elements are quite similar and I am not mad about that at all. As for the watercolor mixing - I find that colors tend to appear more muddy and less clear if that makes sense if you are mixing warm and cool shades as opposed to warm with warm and cool with cool. Like a cool yellow with a warm red might read more muddy than if you would mix a cool yellow with a cool red. This is my super unprofessional explanation but basically when the undertones of the colors are closer together on the color wheel, you get a more clean tone overall. 🏛🏛🏛
🌆 We’re human! It’s totally okay to say the things you’re saying! Tbh, I makes it easier for those that struggle with perfectionism to envision a layout of this caliber 🙂✌🏻🤍

Understandably, we don't always love how things look & it sounds like you were a little overwhelmed getting this done in time... but it reminded me of my European holiday & it evokes all the good feelings for me!!! This reminds me of your mediterranean theme when you were just starting here 😊 I feel the same with the rush when setting up and it just takes longer to finish because of mistakes 🙈 But it’s always nice to hear you talk about it. Nevertheless, this whole setup still look great to me. I hope you had a fun midsummer 🏛️
This theme turned out very beautiful. ❤ I definitely feels your struggle. Once I think talked about the negative things in my video and my friends told me I’m too harsh towards my drawings😅 but honestly the expectations always made me down. 😊
