- Homosexuality or transgenderism is not part of Igbo spirituality and our narrative shouldn't support it either. We may characterize our society as being accepting but it draws a line at some point.
Nonetheless, our country has loads of borderline issues which don't allow the perpetration of gender reassignment care and moreover, the West pushing this agenda has not given us any meaningful development which solely has the interest of Africans, so this particular encouragement is something we should stand firm in our morals and African values.
Finally, we’ve never heard of ‘Gender Dysphoria” until they made it their mission to introduce it, this is to prove that something sinister is at play.
Lets be proud in our culture.

We have to translate science and medical textbooks to Igbo so that when people have strong illness don't have to die like you said.
Igbo culture has nothing in common with Gay and Lesbians stuff and it cannot be linked with igbo masquerades.
First of all. Igbos use female masquerade because igbos sees women as a beautiful creature and igbos want to represent that beautiful creatures in masquerade!
Secondly, women are not allowed to join masquerade group unless on a exceptional circumstances! The reason for this is because of the respect igbos have for women. Masquerade display uses force; therefore igbos don't want their women to be injured during masquerade display, hence the exclusion.
Thirdly, igbos are the first people in the world to give women honour. Igbo women are honoured right from birth! Igbos respect their woman so much; therefore, they give them a sense of belonging in everything they do which includes masquerade!
I knew a village where a big masquerade visit an elderly lady to pay homage and receive blessing from that elderly lady. This big masquerade usually appear once in 22 years. However because of development and change in demography, that big masquerade has not be seen since later 90's.
Notwithstanding,
the west and other part of the world learned how to give honour to women from igbos!
Women only started voting in England in 1928. While some countries gave women voting right in 1918, the igbo women have been voting since they were of age.
Meanwhile, democracy started in igbo land and West claimed it is theirs! An American professor also confirmed that the Democracy people practice today started in igbo land. Igbo land is the only place in the world, where you don't have overall rulership! Every clan, town and villages have their own rulership. Igbos are answerable to God only not humans and this is why their enemies hates them so much till date.
Finally, this LGBTQi stuff is not an igbo thing! It is not Igbo identity and would never be! If you are an igbo person and you have been deceived about your identity, you seriously need help! I won't advise where to go and seek help but ask around and act according to your belief! If you repent, God will forgive you and gods of the land will also forgive you.
Please, let no one bring gay and lesbians stuff into igbo culture 🙏. Igbo culture and value system is so precious and it must be preserved jealousy!
Kudos to Uganda 🇺🇬 👏 🙌 and those countries that wants to protect their cultural values from the invading western ideology.
Please don't be deceived by the West gay and lesbians ideology! They claim they are protecting human rights but they bombed , Japan, Iraq, Libya 🇱🇾, Syria, and they help Nigeria to carry out genocidal war against Biafra in 1967-1970 and till date they are still helping Nigeria government to kill Biafrans, physically, economically and psychologically. They are yet to kill Biafrans spiritually because no body can defeat Biafra spiritually. Biafra spirituality is stronger than human power.
If you claim you promote human rights by championing and promoting and forcing your ideology on others! Why did you kill/ bombed the aforementioned areas?

As I've come to understand, homosexuals are born that way, they didn't chose to be gay or lesbians, so out of curiosity, what advice do you have for gay/bi/lesbians/trans people who want to or are interested in practicing Igbo spirituality but are sexually attracted to same sex?

You really should help yourself out by doing your own research about them unless you've made yourself believe nothing else besides that false belief you have about them.
I'm not even talking about trans people here. Gay, bisexuals, and lesbians did not wake up one morning and looked in the mirror and said " from today onwards, I want to be gay".
As homosexuals grow a lot older, they start to realise what they're attracted to, not because they are mentally disordered but because as humans, we all have preferences, what an individual likes could be what you dislike the most on this earth and vice versa. Does the individual now have to consider you mentally disordered because you don't like what he/she likes?. The answer is NO. As men have their taste when it comes to women so does others when it comes to what sex they find attractive even if it comes down to the same sex.
And please spare me the "it's mental illness whatever". Science has shown that homosexuals are as mentally stable as the heterosexuals and if you find this hard to comprehend, then you're more than FREE to go do your research.
It's funny Christianity will make them feel like they're possessed because they're attracted to same sex and then have the likes of you think they were either abused at a younger age or it's a mental disorder thing.
I have friends who are gay and lesbians and they have ZERO experience with being abused while they were younger and even now they're older. And here's what's even more interesting about them, they are KIND and GOOD HEARTED people and to now think they are wayyyy better people than most heterosexuals I have ever encountered.
Now please, do you still consider such people to be mentally disordered??¿
The only safe heaven you can create for homosexuals is minding your business regarding how they live their lives as far as they didn't step on your toes.
