@@10dev785 I'm not sure I'd like him to stay as Cap, but I definitely don't hate his character. If anything I feel really bad for him. He's a good guy, but unlike Steve he cares more about being a perfect soldier than remaining a good guy. And like Erskine said, the serum increases personality traits as well, and he told Steve that above all he must remember to be that good, humble little guy that he was. John Walker was a good guy and a much better soldier, but with insecurities, and I guess the serum just really brought out that crazy side of him. Steve on the other hand always had a heart of pure gold and an unbreakable resilience and determination, which is what the serum brought out in him... I just really feel bad for the guy honestly. I mean, we'd all love to be a Captain America y'know, but not everyone is. And for most people it's hard to accept that sort of failure that makes you feel like you're valueless... He's not a villain, he's just not a hero
I find John Walker very likable and interesting, especially during the last two episodes. And I actually wanted Buckey to get the shield instead of Sam...

@@dolier2802 I just kinda dislike the character bc.... spoilers for ep. 4 but he lowkey brutally murdered an innocent man knwing that it wasnt him who killed his best friend. (ex. "it wasnt me." and "where is SHE", he knew it was the girl but murdered him anyways. PLUS the poor guy idolized captain america and what he stood for, and to be killed by a version of cap...? brutal.)
@@dolier2802 theres a difference between killing and murder. a great one in fact. If you look at most scenes with him, youll see that he was aginst all that killing that the flagsmasher girl did, he was morally right. and even if he directly opposed against the terrorist group, they would have it out for him and he would die, probably on the spot. I think the point of john walker is that he becomes more and more insane as the series goes on. Yes, he is human but just because a character isnt alien doesnt mean you have to like them. And just because of the guys wrong-doings that doesnt justify the brutal, painful death he had to suffer through at the hands of John Walker. Theres a difference from killing people, which again he was against, and murdering someone out of revenge and hatred. If you think about it, john walker KNEW that guy was innocent, because he yelled out where is SHE, but then when he said "I dont know" he killed him out of hatred for someoen else. Thats just pure evil, tbh.
@@dolier2802 I dont love punisher. But I dont love John walker either, theyre both human, and tgeyere both bad people. Theyre practically the same but weve seen john more on screen. I think these two actors get a lot of attention because they're the most realistic Marvel antagonists we've seen, like we can imagine these people existing in real life doing bad things.
I love the fact that he completely understands all the hate that comes with the role, and just plays along and laughs about it. Hes honestly just a good guy.
In the modern comics, Steve Rogers did use a gun just once to kill an opponent in order to save hostages. By strange coincidence the guy was a member of the Flag Smasher organization. _Captain America 321_ September 1986.
Reminded me very much of Steve's comment to Nick Fury about the helicarriers "holding a gun to everyone on the planet and calling it security" (probably not quoting it correctly...but that was the general gist).
it's not even that steve uses a gun, he generally doesn't carry one, if he does have one it's often something he picks up after the fight has already started. Not here to be the aggressor but he will shut you down if you start shit.
*The man is actually a phenomenal actor. He made the character so hateful on purpose, which shows how good he is. He’s intentionally making the character bad. The way I see it, he deserves an Oscar for making his character believably hated.*

Both Wyatt and Erin seems such genuine and good people. They're amazing and super talented actors and Marvel is really lucky to have them. They did casting so great with them. It's so sad that Wyatt gets hated so much, even for memes it seems that he's hurt a little bit. Hopefully ppl will give him a break ❤️
"How exactly does one smash a flag?" I love the innocence in their answers while the meaning behind the the title "Flag Smashers" is so impactful to the storyline.
Right?? I've always liked characters with a questionable moral compass and conflicted emotions because they're in the grey area. They're more realistic and grounded. Steve was literally perfect, he barely had any flaws and was painted as the righteous good guy. That left John with some very high expectations to meet and watching his character crumble under the weight of the role he was trying to carry was incredibly interesting. I definitely can't wait to see what they do with him.
I just want Wyatt to know that he is playing the character PERFECTLY and his acting beyond great! He does not deserve all that hate for the character he is playing

I think everyone just hate the character, me for example, i like his acting in jump street and wyatt seems nice for a person but really hate us agent. And that show what a great actor wyatt is
What's amazing is that Wyatt gives you a glimpse of how Walker *could* have been forgiven for taking up the shield, *could* have filled the shoes adequately, *could* have been loved, but then twists that, and shows him to be loathsome instead.
I love the actor. He has great -Christmas- charisma, and personality. From certain angles he looks strongly like his dad. He's doing a great job of portraying John Walker. In the comic books John Walker story was ultimately one of redemption and true heroism but it took over a decade and about 200 issues spread across various lines for the character to get there.
The fact that his portrayal of a character generates such strong emotions just means his acting is A-1. Props to him and glad he doesn't have to deal with too much foolishness from the keyboard warriors.
And kudos to Ali for not even mentioning Wyatt's parents (even though there are a ton of viewers who would want to know Wyatt's thoughts about this fact.)
Marvel casting knocked it out of the park again with Wyatt. He’s really doing amazing portraying his character that people can’t distinguish between reality and fiction.
When Wyatt talks all I hear is his dad, it's crazy how much he looks and sounds like him. If they ever do a reboot of any of Kurt Russell's infamous 80's movies we know who can play his characters.
I acc love how positive wyatt Russel is being especially with the hardship he has with this character. Of course I hate John Walker as much as the next person but wyatt Russel is such a nice guy!!!
Honestly i like how they created John Walker. They showed perfectly how he tried to fit in as a new captain, fighting with his weaknesses, willingness to prove himself, succumb to emotions. Russell did a great job playing this character
I know this is cliché but a good actor makes you hate his character. Good for Wyatt Russell, he has a great start of his acting career Edit: relax people, I get it, he’s done other gigs. But not everyone watches Black Mirror 😂 this is his biggest role so far, that’s what I meant
Didn't realize he is Kurt Russell's son. Testament to his ability. He legit can act. Both Wyatt and Erin did a great job portraying the conflict in their characters.
Wyatt Russel is the reason why Tfaws is the centre of discussion..his eyes ,his menacing attitude as walker just took the show to another level.. episode 5 is going to be Wyatt's episode judging by their mid season trailer..
I know people are so dumb it's ridiculous... It's one thing to hate a character, but it's another thing entirely to harass the ACTOR playing them. It's called ACTING for crying out loud. And it's happened so many times before too. With the guy that played Negan, Skyler (from breaking bad). And the list goes on. When are people going to realize the difference between fiction and real life? Sorry for the rant, but it really urks me 😂

The fact that we hate the character just proves how amazing his acting is
Who hates the character? I love the character. I hope to god he stays cap and gets his own series
@@10dev785 sadly, idiots hate him
@@10dev785 I'm not sure I'd like him to stay as Cap, but I definitely don't hate his character.

He’s such an amazing actor. He’s made us hate John Walker and that’s his job. He’s done it perfectly. It’s just a shame some fans can’t differentiate between Character and Actor. Good thing he doesn’t have social media.
Personally can't even bring myself to hate the character. Its such a humane one with doubts. Amazing
@@dolier2802 I agree.
