I used to have someone in my life that said, “those movies are stupid.” “Those are just whack jobs throwing their bodies around. Nothing more.” But I knew differently. My entire life is about art. These movies bring people hope to those who say to them that they’ll never make it. I love to sing and dance. I just feel like everyone needs to watch these movies because then you can see through the plot lines what these movies mean to us. Most of these movies, they’re about dancers that have been told they’ll never make it. Through all the bad, they find a way through and they win. This kind of art isn’t something you just throw together and wing. You put time, effort, heart, sweat and guts into it.
I'm from the Moose video, I came back to it after a year and was suprised to find out that there is a sequel. All this franchise has is that series, which had nothing to do with Step up, great transitions though
what I love about this edition is that it really shows dance as an art and a form of expression. the step up franchise is so legendary just because it gave a voice and inspired so many people in such a fun and interesting way
I've never noticed how a lot of the dance moves were re used from the previous step up movies, like that jump in the air from Tyler in SU2TS battle with Andy then used in SU3D, Tylers prayer fall in SU2TS battle against Andy then used in SUAI, Mooses body control/possession in the rain scene of SU2TS then used again in SU3D. Mooses bridge walk in SU2TS water dance then used in SUAI. It amazes me how they put it in and still looked new. All time favorite movies growing up, it's what made me a dancer to this day.
