I got my hands on a top-of-the-line ASUS GeForce GTX 1080 TI 11GB Turbo Edition video card after several years of mining and in this video I will clean it and replace thermal interfaces at home.
On the PCB, you can already initially notice sweat from the stock thermal pads in the area of the memory chips. After removing the video card from the PC should wait for some time so that the card cooled down, because in the work GTX 1080 TI warms up very decently! It is necessary to unscrew proportionally 4 central screws fixing the graphics chip, and then unscrew the rest, which hold the cooling system + unscrew the metal frame near the video inputs of the card. In my case, the card was very dirty with silicone liquid from the gaskets and dust, the card has already darkened a lot, but nothing critical. It would be good to put it in an ultrasonic bath and clean it well, but you can and just ear wands with absorbent cotton and cleaning fluid normally clean everything. After I replaced the stock thermal paste with MX4 and the native yellow thermal pads with blue ones from Arctic from China and added some silicone grease to the cooling fan FirstD FD6525H12D from 2017. Having assembled everything in reverse order do not forget to connect back the fan connector so that the card will start. After all these operations you can continue to use the video card in a working system for games and work. In the test FurMark maximum temperature of the GPU dropped by only 2 degrees, but the video card became cooler and cleaner + memory chips with new thermal pads.
For home maintenance is not the easiest VC, but still, if you have previously worked with such electronics, you will not have big problems in cleaning such components. I wish everyone good luck in this kind of work and success in life!

я бы вместо термопрокладок
мазал уже жидкие термопрокладки.
Они сжимаются до нужной толщины и проблем с подбором нет.
И на ГП нужно мазать термопасту с фазовым переходом.
Другие выдавливаются через недельку-две.
У меня RTX 3090 - знаю о чем пишу.

Ці турбіни добре беруть андервольт. Пам'ятаю було -850mv, фан до 2000 обертів, по суті майже не чутно було в іграх і температура десь 70-73. Шкода що вони не зробили хоча б дешевий бекплейт на цю модель.

Так, я також її андервольтив десь біля -850mv через MSI Afterburner, тихіше працює і споживає :)
