Great video I have roses in my pots. And I will give them a rest by taking the leaves off and cutting them down with the warm climate here in Florida. They never stop growing so I will do that tomorrow. Thank you so much 🌈❤️🙏

I have boxwoods in containers and they survive the winter. Zone 6A.

Good to know. We are here in CT in a new zone -7a, so I think that container should be good.

Olga- I am nearby in Orange- and wondering about my new pots of roses. I’m still new to this- but now I’m wondering if I should prune, defoliate and bring them in the garage? As of right now I just have them under my deck grouped together. What do you think?

Hi Casey, It all depends how hardy your roses are. If they are good to zone 5, you can leave them outside in the pots. I don't know the name of my rose, and can't guess its hardiness, that is why I put it into the garage storage. Your roses might be very happy to overwinter outside under your deck.

Curious about defoliating … you don’t do on your climbers or other rose shrubs? Also, when do you apply dormant spray to those roses? Thanks so much for your videos!

I really do a good cleaning only in spring on my roses. Sometime in the middle of winter, when temp is around 40, I will spray with dormant oil. That is a very good thing for roses, I rely on that organic treatment.

@ thank you! Did you defoliate your potted rose because it was very young?

@@oh_boy_oh_boy22 I defoliated it because it is going into my garage for winter sleep. I kind of induced dormancy on it....
