This is the nicest looking Edge Ford has ever built. My brother in law drives a '15 Edge Sport, and it's my FAV of the Edge trim grades. I'd like to see Steve Hammes drive the Edge ST when it comes out.
Had an old mustang 2004 and it had a lot of issues so I ended up trading it in for a 2016 Ford Edge Titanium not really knowing what it was just needing an upgrade. Cooled and heated seats, all wheel drive, good speed, smooth, moonlight roof window, lots of space, built in gps, and tons of features I still havent found. Just blew my mind and still love it.
The wife loves her 2011 Edge Sport AWD so I look forward to a review of that model. Overall it seems like much of the upgrades are more cosmetic and Infotainment related as they kept the same engine and drive-train options for the Sport. That being said they do appear to be very welcome upgrades.
Very good review. Makes me re-think my SUV shopping as I was set on getting either an Explorer or Toyota Highlander by end of this year. Seems the Edge is a bit more luxurious.
Doesn’t really matter, fog lights are made incredibly redundant in this day and age anyway since a lot of cars won’t run them without the headlights on.
cctaximan Yea i know. Its what i wanted, yet more then what i wanted to pay. I ended up with the 16 Nissan Rogue for 23,000 paid for cash and brand new. I love my Rogue, but now im seeing a 2016 Ford Edge Titanium in the blue i wanted for 24,000 with only 21,657 miles. Im so bummed. 😣
Don't take offense, but I think you would have made an excellent car salesman. I want to buy almost everything you review,(except the MIEV )even those which are really not right for me.
@@roltol7539 Dude totally, but you talk of a coolant leak in the 2.0 Edge and then mention a Q7? Shit's far worse in a Q7. But you're probably right in terms of refinement although the Edge ain't no tractor. However the 6 pot Edge is meant to be one of the most reliable Ford's they make. But whatever, just my two cents. They're both pretty decent vehicles.
+Ivan Vojt Does it takes premium fuel? All of the Eco-Boosts use regular as per the manufacture recommendation as far as I'm aware (Escape for example).
+Ivan Vojt i put regular in my 2013 fusion ecoboost. premium does give a 2-3 mpg improvement, but that's not necessarily worth it depending on fuel prices where you live. plus, ford doesn't even say that they recommend premium on any turbo engine besides the focus ST.
+Ivan Vojt Not really true. I drive a 14 focus ST and have always put 87 octane in it. The general consensus in the ST community is just use 87 octane unless you have a 91 tune. Also the dealer and the manual say to just use 87 octane. My car hasn't had one issue in over 2 yrs. I do use synthetic oil though.

cant wait to get my Titanium will be my 3rd edge, simply love the car great function and features for a good price

Have it in 2016 Titanium AWD 3.5l. It's been a great car!

Great review and truly a nice SUV.
great review
I just drove this as well the other day. I agree with you that it is an amazing vehicle. just too bad about that centre stack and the front end.
Not sure why, the front and the interior look quite nice! Still do
Nobody reviews automobiles any better than Steve....
+colderbeer You made my day...thanks.
Time for the updated show with the 2016 Edge Sport. Great review.
$43,000 Titanium top of the line, but no fog lights. Go figure.
Ha! My sentiments exactly! But then I researched and apparently they’re LED so they’re not that obvious.
Doesn’t really matter, fog lights are made incredibly redundant in this day and age anyway since a lot of cars won’t run them without the headlights on.
Does the new Sync 3 radio come with a built in Hard Drive to rip CDs to, like in some Hondas?
Interior screen+😊
Ford is making some really nice cars right now! Too bad they're just so damn expensive

Absolute Beauty !!!
So the 2016 has the cooled seats not the 2015, I figured as much lol
Brianna bracelet peaches+😊
Are all seats heated?
love ours ,love the sport mode
Are those skinny front seats gone?
I'm very torn between this trim of the Edge, & the 2016-2018 Lincoln MKX/ 2019-2020 Nautilus Reserve or Black Label
any news with 2016 ford edge release? is it going to be january?
+Frost Alvarez I have read that they have started making them already. Should be on dealer lots by feb 2016. I'm planning on getting one with sync 3.
Are you getting the Sport we had, Steve?
No plans as of yet but I'd like to.
It was very very fun, and a cool color!
Very nice review, would it be safe to say that this is a Fusion wagon, much the same way that they used to sell a Taurus wagon?
+pedrof830 Thanks you, sir! It doesn't feel wagon-y...it sits up high like an SUV. But it drives very well.

+pedrof830 You're too funny! But maybe that'll be my backup career.
Steve you also sound like a narrator for a television show like Tom Selleck on Magnum P.I.
Happy calm relaxing proud focus smile+ ask your dad+
what about 2.0 ecoboost coolant leak in to cylinder ??? it has huge problem... What else car you consider as an alternative to ford edge ?
Go for the ST trim level. It comes with a V6 2.7 liter engine, this 2.0 liter is really too small to handle 2.5 tonnes.
@@lapamful i would so, but the pricing... st trimm with 2.7tt engine cost MORE than 2017 audi q7 witch is way another level of comfort and quality..

Ford edge blue car+ for stacy+😊😊 for you stacy engine start stop button keyring
If you intend to shell out that much coin wait for a 2016.

Is it just my eyes or is the Candaian model really more shiny & premium'ish than the US model ?
TheSolderingGuy007 It's just your eyes; they look exactly the same.
If a car says, "Premium preferred, but can accept regular" -- I'd actually fill it up with midgrade unleaded.

If Only:
- Ethanol was banned.
- Only 95 Octane Fuel was sold.
- Only a certain percentage of "additives" are allowed per-gallon.
Best midsized 2 row crossover? This Edge, Hyundai Santa Fe Sport or Nissan Murano.
very good review as always.
I sure want one! ;-)
pretty cool hyundai edge man...
2013 or 2014 edge sport is more nice, & same tecnologi
