  • Roosevelt Row in Phoenix is full of murals, delicious places to eat, and plenty of beautiful places to take Instagram photos. Many visitors don't know about the first Fridays here where hundreds of artists come together to sell their artistic creations to the 20,000 people that walk through the area. They are actively working to re-instate this delightful artistic gathering in a way that is safe during the pandemic but plans have yet to be solidified, so be sure to keep an eye out for that.

Hi! Welcome to the Culture Trekking Community! My name is Janiel Green, a Physician Assistant, Scuba Diver, Dog lover, Photographer, and Videographer! I love to make people smile, am known for not beating around the bush (unless it is in my garden). I also tend to say it as I see it before my brain can tell me its probably not socially acceptable to do so. My spirit animal is a Sea Turtle, I hate mushrooms, and don’t trust a man who lays on the romance too thick.
I love to travel the world, connect with different cultures, and find sustainable adventure. I have explored the most off the beaten path places, and cultures throughout the world. This year I’m taking you along as I explore my hometown, UTAH! From Anasazi Ruins in Southern Utah, to the High Uinta Mountains best waterfalls and camping locations.
With over a decade of professional photography experience, and a self-taught videographer and editor. I also want to teach you a few tricks of the trade to make better travel videos, and take better travel photos - even if you are a solo traveler.
Most of all, I want to help you, my Culture Trekkers, learn to enjoy those little things in life that make the soul sing. Life isn’t always easy, and I have had my fair share of heartache. I have been through the thick of it with those internal battles we all have. Now I’m completely dedicated to inspiring you on the inside to better explore the outside and find beauty between the lines of the contrasts of life. I’m so excited to have you here! Be sure to subscribe to your social media channel of choice right here & see you soon!
Join the community in the comment section on my videos (we have great discussions), or on your social media channel of choice. Share this video with a friend who you think would be a good fit. Until our next adventure, enjoy those little things in life peeps.

I was sincerely impressed by how every wall, garbage can, and even the cement blocks in the parking lots were covered in colors and art.

I have never been to Phoenix, but I really enjoy murals. Thanks for giving me some ideas if I ever visit!

Is there an artist's collective that houses all of these mural artists? I am organizing a BLM event in DTPHX. It would be tremendous to reach out to the organization in charge of the Black History murals. Any info you have is appreciated!

I would contact the visitors center for Mesa, Tempe & Phoenix or just walk into the one along the street they may know - they get thousands of emails but I’m sure they would be happy to help if you popped in.
