The answer to the hostess’ Q @ 11:00 is best answered by Maurice Coterrell’s, “Astrogenetic theory”. The solar wind is the physical mechanism by which the planetary transits affect earth

Listening 4 years on as a practicing astrologer myself, so many accurate forecasts for better and worse. Also, for anyone interested in Astrology, some other great channels are The Astrology Podcast with Chris Brennan and Archetypal News Network with Renn Butler- both somewhat regularly feature Richard Tarnas as well. Also Nick Dagan Best, Patrick Watson, and Adam Elenbass have super informative channels!

Great interview and subject! as guest reminds us, historically there could be "A backlash of conservatism" after the pandemic mentioned around 32:40 is spot on! Here we are 4 years later and it baffles me as I see here in America, somehow Trump attracting so many followers.

id like to offer a few thoughts on some of what your speaker brought to the table. i think primarily, the disjuncture of popular astrology from sidereal astrology robs most modern astrology of a lot of clarity. I think that the impact of this lack of clarity arises from a confusion of blurring of the archetypes into one another, and witnessing a reality that is 23 degrees different from what we're 'logicking' with.
the ~23 degrees is only ~23 days of difference in an earth yeah
but in a pluto year. that 23 degrees is a 15 year period of difference.
currently, pluto is in sagittarius -- the panicky prewinter activity. the wildfire, the search for truth and reality, the last preparations before true winter
the coronavirus' life span will be extended by the pluto regtrograde in sagittarius, and we'll have moments of extreme panick collectively. Riots, fires, etc -- all under the sagittarian content.
Capricorn on the other hand will be our hangover, our wake up call, our sobering aftermath. Pluto in Sagittarius may turn this planet to ash, and the following 20 year period will be a hard and cold and dead icy Capricorn. The 20 year January.
THEN in 2040~ we'll have that so called 'aquarian' revolution...but this is still just midwinter. the aquarian revolution will be our absolute social desperation and the 'knowledge' of our interconnectedness. Capricorn is winter through constriction, Aquarius is winter through agoraphobia. Wide open spaces with nothing but potential danger. Saturn shows us 'what we need'. And what we will need is to remove the ego (Leo) from our operations, and fall into a collective holding pattern, or we'll die.
Pisces will bring nihilism, mass dissociation and calm. So goes the wheel.
I'm just now starting my academic journey into astrologics, using a human rights and human development framework. I focus mostly on how children are educated and inculcated in particularly destructive narratives that destroy agency and sense of individuation, and how that's definitely a violation of their human right to education.

I suppose we can we perceive the planets as concentrated configurations of energy. The planets aren't influencing anything - they're grand representations of the energy that's reflected in all matter, as well as every other solid in reality.
