Barry Sheene never let his accidents hold him back, for as soon as he could ride again he was back on his bike racing, were you a fan - let us know your thoughts in the COMMENTS BELOW...
Barry sheene gets my vote any day last of the gladiators Barry was nothing could keep Barry down ....take Daytona accident month after Barry was bike on his motorbike....a true sportsman was our Barry sheene 👍😁
A loveable rogue in every sense, playboy, hellraiser, not your corporate product like these days, sheene was a maverick and ppl warmed to him for it,saw him race many times, fond memories of a great rider.
Definitely - he lit up the paddock and race events with his charm. He had a great way about him, great rider, and never give up! Thanks for your comment 🏍️👍
A special racer, never knew defeat. Not only could he get the crowd going, he also knew how to work the press...which got him recognised worldwide! Thanks for your comment 🏍️👍
Barry is proof that motorcycle racers have a very high threshold for pain that most people don't have. But what a funny guy! He was a rare person in this world and really put motorcycle racing on a world stage. His battles with Kenny were epic and the world stood up and took notice. He was just one of those guys that the people loved and he is really missed.
Dang bro, you really missed the origin story of his racing career...I suggest you go watch a few interviews of his....yikes...I can't believe you dropped that ball....go check it out.
In the first place, over 95 % of the world is metric, so stop always using imperial units like miles, yards and inches! In the second place, colorful leathers were obligatory, pure black was simply forbidden. Had nothing to do with Sheene. In the third place, a great racer, a very likable and popular guy, he absolutely did not revolutionize bike racing!

Unfaithful, drunk, addict, and womanizer. That describes him too.
Absolutely a master on a motorbike👍❤️
That's for sure - thanks for your comment 🏍️👍
@@motoplusgp 👍. Seen Barry race a few times and what a sight to see! Sooooooo good✌️❤️
@@robinbanks610 Barry was more than a good racer, his character was great too and it revolutionized racing in a big way.
Another great video!
I wasn't born when Sheene was racing and as a brit I've always wondered what his career was like - now I know.

Fans took to Barry from the word go, Yea he'd some great battle with King Kenny...Fantastic 🏍️👍
Go Bazza ❤
The tyre delaminated and locked the back wheel which is why whipping in the clutch didn't save the slide
Yip, pulling in the clutch made no difference at that stage, the tyre was well gone. 🏍️👍
Correct the tire expanded at speed due centrifugal force causing the tire to rub on swing arm.
Add the fact he could speak multiple languages fluently.
👍❤️
