@@Master_of_Antares Yes and no. Without the Kingmaker module you can still get the NPCs, Items, and Kingdom tracking/party sheet. The paid-for Kingmaker module adds art for the items and NPCs, scenes for the adventure, a journal version of the PDF (with journals linked onto the scenes for easy access), and music. Piazo allows every character creation choice (all the feats!), items, and NPCs in Foundry for free. And the Pathfinder team is quick too; the recent Howl of the Wilds book content was added almost over night, perfect for my aquatic themed campaign coming up! Paying for the adventure modules just cuts down on the hard part for GMs, like getting maps into Foundry, walling and lighting the maps, setting up NPC art, and having easily accessible PDFs and handouts for players and the GM.
@@kaitepurdy2595 oh cool, how can we get the kingmaker items and NPCs for free? Thats amazing What about the kingmaker mechanics though, like the hex map features, city building, war system, etc - is it really all available for free o.o that blows my mind
The token NPC pack is something ALL DMs have needed for so LONG now it's not even funny! Foundry just keeps making our lives better in the TTRPG VTT space!
Really looking forward to the marketplace. I really hope that will also somewhat solve the "premium patreon module" problem, were creaters can get paid for the stuff without me having to subscribe to what feels like multiple subscription services, which is something I explicitly want(ed) to avoid with foundrys one-time purchase model. Also personally not really interested in ember myself, but since it seems to be financed and staffed via kickstarter that's nothing that should affect foundry development to much. We have a saying in german: "Schuster bleib bei deinen Leisten" (A cobbler should stick to his last)...
I'm sorry... how do I get the new summoning interface to work? When my players or I use a summon spell it just does the ole' post in the chat routine and there's no option to place summon... Actually there's a bunch of missing compendiums (I don't see the character options compendium with all of those summon spells). Oh, and yes I made sure that I'm running 3.2.0 for the Game System.
Can you do multiple enchantments on the same item? Obviously does not work RAW for infusions, but simply generally speaking. In case you got multiple ways to enchant or even a feature that can enchant the same item multiple times (Build-your-own-weapon kinda vibes).
Early supporter here. IF.. if you ever put the pins to all things on maps in the actual content I'll be back. .. like you know.. that OTHER tabletop. That single, although very deep, ability makes it a dream for GM''s. As it stands Foundry is just a pretty face but not much actual use for a GM like FG was. LIke I said.. IF,... if you ever put the pins and cross links (maps, npc's, encounters, etc) then I'll be back.
You can already have links to any written journal document on any map. Any token links to all the actor data Encounters are typically built directly on the map, rather than having a separate entity...so that's not a direct need, but if you do need a separate document for an encounter..I suppose you could also link that document?
Think you are really watering yourself down if you're spending all this time making your own RPG instead pouring 100% of your effort into the current product that you have
Think it's actually really brilliant. They don't sell the main software twice so this allows them to support them in a fun way rather than just paying a subscription. Plus they do work on the main engine a ton.
Why are you lying to us about there being no other way to run Tashas feature? I've had players running Artificer and Echo Knight for 2 years now. They're both fully implemented by DDBI, and I do not believe Atropos isn't heard of the D&D Beyond Importer.
You can create your own content, and import content you own on D&D Beyond. There has been no other, ready made, out of the box, feature complete way to add that content without modules previously.
@Trekari Given that there's little incentive to pay a monthly pledge for the privilege of voting on features in software a person has not purchased a license for, I'm pretty confident that the percentage of Foundry VTT Patreons who also have at least one Foundry VTT license is probably close to 100%.
Please also note, this is an order of priority vote, not a 'vote in, vote out' vote. All of the listed features are on the roadmap. One is getting bumped to the head of the line based on the vote outcome.
It's so eyewidening to see pathfinder have all the mechanics for free vs dnd having most stuff behind paywall
YUP
Isn’t like, every single kingmaker feature locked behind the paywall?

Seriously! So glad I moved to FVTT over Roll20; can’t wait to see how Foundry integrates the 2024 rule books for 5e!!
The NPC Gallery sounds incredible, absolutely something I will buy. Yes please.
Use of the term token ring really took me back to the early days of computer networking. Everything old is New again.😊

Wow kingmaker is so good great job! Its so impressive
I'm honestly so stoked for the NPC token pack!!!
Please make the hex editing part of the core of Foundry!
Has there been any discussion about improving the character creation process for 5e in Foundry?
Tomb of Annihilation is a greaaat idea! Hex crawling over chult will awesome in FVTT if it’s got any quality similar to what I saw for Kingmaker.

Piracy.
@user-ug4kt1rm4v what's Piracy? Using software that you've paid for on DNDBeyond?
WotC won't let them.

Patreons get to vote, but my purchase of the software itself doesn't get me a vote eh?
Wild.
Patrons have also purchased the software. Literally the only thing patrons get for supporting the software after purchase is this vote.
