Dammit, I'm beating myself up because I'm a HUGE GREEN DAY fan and I could have gone to this, but I didn't know about them to the extent I do now.. I would love to see them live. This setlist had about 30 songs.. so jealous.
RandomMikael Next time they tour do whatever you can to get a ticket. 30 song setlist is pretty standard for them. Id have loved to have seen them during 21CB tour though
@soxicmusic not much the emotional-type.. but what happened to green day is that they got older. they're not always going to be 19 year old kids. so their music has matured over the years naturally, but they still have kept to their roots. the most punk thing a band can do is feel comfortable enough to go outside the typical 'punk' subculture/genre and release songs like 'whatsername'.
It's true, green day aren't very good as many other bands, talking about the skills etc. But their songs make me feel good. And that's the point of music, in my opinion. It doesn't matter if you can play fast and know everything about music theory... music is about feelings, and it's because of this that I f*cking love Green Day.
