Great video! I watched every video from your channel. I got few questions. How many people could I cover with 2 TTL6A's per side? And how many subs would I need? Also, pick you favorite: SUB9006 or 9007? I prefer the more natural sound of the 9006 but the 9007 hits harder and lower...
Thank you for watching our videos. We have covered 500 per side with subs with no problem at all. It all depends on what type of music and what type of volume you would consider coverage. We did 3500 people with 2 TTL6-A per side flown and it covered very well for speaking and small choir with piano and guitar.
Thank you for the reply. I do both..EDM and rock. I own 2 tt25mk2 with sub8003 II now and I want to expand my setup. I think I'm gonna go for 2 ttl6a and 2 9006.

As far as the subs I would say our favorite is the 9006 they are so tight and just do a fantastic job. The 9007's are the tightest 21's I have ever heard and have so much headroom. If we did more EDM there would be no question. Since we do more Rock and Country the 9006's have been our go to.

9006's probably plays EDM fine and what about hip hop cuz hip hop goes very low so yeah

You are correct. It takes low frequency quite a distance to form correctly. You can take the speed of sound roughly 1125 ft/second and divide it by the frequency you want to figure and it will tell you the wavelength so 30hz would take 37.5 feet to form.

3:20 Is this the way you would normally balance it? Two huge subwoofer cabinets with one small mid/hi box?
Poly Hexamethyl the TTL6 isn’t your regular top cabinet. With 2 12’s, 4 6.5’s, and a 3” horn it is basically an HDL50 top. For the style of music we do we usually use one 9006 with one TTL6. For EDM or Rap music we would recommend 2 subs per top.
The TTL6A is not small at all :)) Its a freakin monster of a speaker that in outdoor aplications NEEDS two double subs like those ones.
But after all. The upper speaker is the one who carry out every frequencies signal. The sub balancing the mid freq , high freq and mid low frequency and carrying all kinds of low frequencies. sometimes the sub and upper speaker should be balanced In number speaker cabinets.
One of my example is. Front of house line array system. From left and right area. There should be a 16 hdL line array at left and right area.and for the lower speaker should have 8pcs dual subwoofer from left and right area too.. Which is equivalent to 16 single subwoofer too. and it the end. The sound engineer should tune the mixers and processor properly. It's up to sound system company what kind of dual sub should be use. Wether it is rcf dual sub , db technologies dual sub or martin audio and JBL dual sub.
@@carlotheatheist Agree. But this situation is different. One TTL6A kills 3 HDL boxes. With no effort. Trust me when I say. You need two double subwoofers for one TTL6 if you want to use the speaker at its full potential.
@@DobixIdealSound yes.ttL6a is efficient enough. Specially at semi outdoor area. Like covered basketball court. That's why the sub should be doubled. It's a built in tri-amp system. Each driver speaker had it's own amp. And very efficient. But sometimes for me. I'd like to add more ttL and sub. Just like Trinity production . We watch their video too about ttL at live event. TtL 6a is equivalent to 3 RCF HDL 30A right?
got a hdl-6a rig coming, do you think I would be better off with the 9006 or 9007? cross over at 90hz. what sub has more usable output?
With the HDL6 rig we would recommend the 9006. The 9007 would leave quite a gap between the sub and top. If you ever need any gear give us a call we sell tons of RCF and other brands.

Tyler m 2 would come kind of close as far as output, but the 9006 has much more musicality. It will go much much lower, and be punchier.

You recommend a single TTL6 for two 9006 a side, or two TTL4?
What type of sub would you recommend when running multiple TTP5-A speakers? For example 2 to 3 TTP5-A’s per side of a gym while sitting on top of a sub. Would you recommend a pair of 8006, 9006, or 9007 to best balance them out? The type of music would be that of a competitive indoor percussion ensemble. So anything with cinematic/soundscapes, electronic based samples, classical orchestration, and or rock.

Sound Back it depends on the application. It is a deeper tone, but the 8006 is an incredible sub too.

It completely depends on what genre and what coverage you are expecting 120db, over entire audience, 105 db in the ncak. 100,000 is a very very large crowd

I would say the output would be more on the 9006 and the extended low frequency would definitely be more. These 18's are as tight as 15's we have been very very impressed with them and how many less subs you have to use. I am honestly not sure how many of the TTS26 subs that one 9006 would be equal to though.

Grupo SS Super Sierreño the 9006 subs do not crossover the output. They only crossover the input for the sub. So we would recommend using a crossover. The 8006 however you do not have to have a crossover.

What about 9007 and 9006 subs per side, a 9006 on top of 9007, i see tgey are the same dimensions exept in height, i assume 9006 is punchier?, or is 4 9007 better combo than 2 9007 and 2 9006's on top of 9007? Looking for punchier combo... and 2 tt5a agains 1 ttl6a, wich sill handle better 2 of those subs i mentioned?
We would recommend staying with the same type of sub for the most part. It helps with quite a few audio physics anomalies.

DeeJay Pajtim depending on what genre of music we have covered 1500 - 2000 with that set up before.

DeeJay Pajtim we have done this a lot with indoor venues, but as always, outdoor venues are different animals. You have to make sure they're flown to have proper coverage. This cabinet IS essentially an HDL50 in a trapezoidal box.

Which is better, actually I am much confused between srx 828 /728 or the RCF 7200 subs wich sounds great, I like the RCF's as it's throw is great, but when JBL comes it makes me weak to decide which is better

We personally like the 9006 better even though the Danley th118 is a killer speaker. The 9006 handles the 30-35 range better in our opinion and looks a lot better. The Danley probably throws a little further but the 9006 travels a very long way as well.

It is the deep setting adds a boost in the extreme lows and the punch adds a boost in the 60-80 range.

mr jn with most of our tops we either use l3 or l4 most of the time we have rdnet hooked up and use it to make adjustments
