Owned this piano for 2.5 years now and i'm still in amazed sometimes at how good it sounds. So warm but also rich and bright when you need it to be. I'm even let down sometimes when playing grand pianos we have in different churches.
Thank you very much, Sir. I'm agonizing about getting an acoustic piano or not, and so far what I've listened to on the internet hasn't been quite convincing, in terms of (Kawai or other) uprights. Frankly, I thought they all sound kind of "boxed in" (muffled?) and uncontrolled noisy, as opposed to transparent and clear. Now your (very nice!) playing is almost selling the thing to me. And good job with real-life recording, too. Most such videos on the web have abhorrently bad sound recording, and then there are some "pros" who manage to hang the mike right into the box or attach it near the soundboard, all of which … while delivering "precise" sound … don't do the instrument much justice. I mean, who is leaning into the top while playing, or clinging with one's ear to the back of it. LOL.

This is by far the best RUclips video demonstration of the K500 currently available. The piano is in tune - and you play beautifully with great sensitivity. I purchased a K500 this morning and it will be delivered in four days. Terrific piano !!

I Love this K 500 Piano & wanted to buy but i have home with adjacent neighbours
it will create difficulties especially when i will work on new piece & there will endless repeatation
of certain bars as i will be practicing at night so order Kawai CA 78 will get it next week..

Very nice demo, thank you so much. Any chance on the music sheet for Heros? I recently tried a K500, and I love it so much that I am now upgrading from an old small Yamaha. My old piano was OK for a complete beginner growing into low intermediate, but what a difference! I also tried the K200 and K300, and frankly I thought that the difference between those 2 was not a huge as between them and the K500, it is a monster! Even the lovely feeling when touching the K500's keys, they really call you to play. Lovely sound, amazing action, great touch. It took me a while to save for it, but I was covered by the older piano as it was a more than decent one, and by the time you develop your playing, you really can appreciate the advantages of a better piano. I tried several pianos, of several makers. This was by far the best.

Thank you Michael, very kind. Stuart also loves that piece of music. Stuart was indeed using the middle pedal (Celeste pedal) which involves a piece of felt in front of the hammers, giving it that lovely soft sound. All the best ♫

Thank you for the fine demonstration of a very good instrument. However, tuning and/or microphone (phase) placement is not good.
which deter your demonstration to some extent, which makes it difficult to compare to other instruments of this size and model.
If I had a new Kawai I would never pound on the keys. I wouldn't let people or pets near it. No food, smoking or alcohol. No candle burning. No humidity. No extreme heat or cold. No rock and roll or staccato arpeggios like you started with. In fact I would probably only allow cocktail Jazz and Smooth jazz playing only.
